@Sheldon do I think the tango man ie trump is suitable president material no I think he is morally corrupt and would stab anyone in the back if its in his interest.
I agree, he strikes me as a racist xenophobic chauvinistic ego maniac, who is interested primarily in such an office only if it presents opportunities for him to further personal gain.
I think to some extent the GOP has created a monster by supporting him, time will tell how much damage it’s done.

unfortunately from what I understand trump can’t be held criminally responsible for happened because of case law Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire (1942) and R.A.V. v. City of St. Paul (1992).
If you’re talking about the Capitol insurrection, then I don’t think legal arguments mattered, as not enough Republicans were prepared to uphold his impeachment. Not that it matters, as he is undoubtedly and at the very least, morally culpable.
His other alleged criminality might yet see him successfully prosecuted, only time will tell. From instructing his private attorney to illegally use campaign funds in a payoff to silence Stormy Daniels to his shady Russian connections and property deals, it’s all there waiting to come back to haunt him.
In an era where we almost expect politicians to be self serving, he seems to have lowered the bar for those expectations, and his name has almost become a punchline for being synonymous with greed, corruption, and sleaze. That’s before we even look at his opportunistic racism and sexism.
His tacky sleazy and dishonest behaviour, demeaned the great office he held, and though he’s not the first to to do that, he’s certainly far exceeded the depressing expectations I had when he first became president.
If the old adage that people get the leaders they deserve is remotely true, then that’s a sad indictment of the US electorate in this instance.

I’ll read the transcripts.
It must be magic. You know, the same kind of magic that makes the first paragraph in someone’s posts capitalize the words: Trump, McKelvey, and empirical. But doesn’t capitalize the words: Biden, New York, and Cuomo. But then post several paragraphs where the grammar seems flawless and even uses the em dash. It’s almost as if it was written by two different people…
