Whoo hoo! Is it enough?

And I have Jewish in-laws who lost family members in Hitler’s death camps.

Trump isn’t at the same level of evil Hitler was, but given the chance, perhaps if he succeeds in destroying democracy in the U.S., he could be just as bad as Hitler. The guy has no conscience, and has proven that the only person he cares about is himself. I can see him doing just about anything to stay in power if he’s elected this year.

I’m doing everything I can by getting out and talking to neighbors and letting them know how important it is for them to vote in November. While Biden wouldn’t have been my first choice, I believe he’s a much better choice than Trump. He’s actually accomplished a lot in his current term as president and I feel he has the best interests of the country as a whole in mind rather than just himself.

And for that you have my deepest sympathies and condolences.

I’d urge you or anyone else to go to one if the camps one day (if you haven’t already) and you’ll truly understand the scale and why so many (probably, mostly Europeans) recoil in horror and when terms like “he’s a nazi” or “he’s like hitler” get banded around.

Honestly pal, It’s humbling on so many levels.

Keep in mind that if Trump regains the presidency, he’ll have his finger on the nuclear button. If that doesn’t scare you, then nothing will, because that has the potential to kill more people than Hitler did.

How many extra deaths do you think where caused by Trump’s single sentence describing the pandemic as a hoax? That is the crime against humanity.

I’m not too afraid to be honest, it’s essentially mutually assued destruction.

Again, he’s a muppet and I really hope Biden (or a beet choice for you guys) gets in.

But if he launches, everyone does and we are all 100% fucked… thats why it’ll never happen.

I don’t believe that.

No idea Nyar, but lets be reasonable… if there were 1m deaths, im sure we could say many died before anything was said or done, including vaccines come out.

We also need to factor in, how many died that were democrats that did listen but still died.

How many died that had terminal illnesses or had say heart attacks whilst having covid also?

I really dont know… but I want to be clear my comments about war crimes or war criminals was directed at those voting republican… not Trump personally.

You could easily persuade me that idiot should spend his life behind bars and id have no issues.

Again my initial issue was the branding of voters who vote rebuplican as being supremacists etc…
As being total bollocks.

And from there I took umbrage at calling him on pat with Hitler, which is nonsensical.

then your response to me was a non-sequitur

And you’re entitled to that belief.

But look at the preponderance of evidence Cyber.

America is the only country to have used Nukes in wartime, so Russia, China, Pakistan etc… know you lot will use them if pushed…

Id argue JFK also showed that you cant fuck around with the US durine the cuba crisis.

Whilst Russia’s may be more powerful, I believe Americas arsenal of nukes if far greater in terms of numbers.

If so apologies Nyar, its been difficult to reply to all and stay on top of conversations.

Likewise, my position has been greatly twisted too.

And feels like a dog piling incident, luckily im thick skinned enough to not give a shit haha.

My bottom line: Anyone who votes for Trump in 2024 is either ethically challenged, mentally ill, or both.

I’d say about once a week for the past year; I’ve heard Russian media talking heads threatening to nuke countries in western Europe. They used to say 2 minutes to midnight; I think we are much closer now.

I would be more worried and surprised if they said nothing, but I do get your point.

I’m don’t quite understand your response.
Firstly, I said I don’t believe something you claimed. So just what belief am I entitled to?
Secondly, you said, “ But if he launches, everyone does and we are all 100% fucked… thats why it’ll never happen.”.
If he launches…it’ll never happen.
I don’t believe your assertion that it will never happen. I am terribly concerned that, given the opportunity, trump would nuke someone who pissed him off.

Well, Hilter was in continuous power for eight year before he started his killing spree. Trump seems to be engaging in a similar behavior / policy pattern as Hitler in the years prior to that spree…even to the point of using identical rhetoric.

Ah, not a problem, so what i meant was that you are entitled to not believe me and anything I say, thats absolutely fine and I have no issue with that.

That is all that was meant.

That is true, but that said, Hitler was murdering from the start… albeit in the beginning it was mostly his political opposition, communists and even his own people like Ernst Rohm.

Moving on to krystalnacht and then final solution.

But you guys obviously see more and have direct experience, so I’ll happily have my opinion changed… what behaviors or political policy has he used akin to Hitler?

Here’s some info…

Thats a whole lots of “i didnt know” from Trump, he truly is a fucking idiot.

For those who want to read up on this part of history, I tend to recommend the following three-volume history of Nazi Germany by distinguished historian Richard J. Evans:

The Coming of the Third Reich - Before 1933, how Hitler and the Nazi party came to power
The Third Reich in Power - 1933-1939, how the Nazi rule reshaped Germany and prepared for war
The Third Reich at War - 1939-1945, WW2

These books are three thick volumes packed with history for the history interested. If you(*) just want a quick introduction, these books are not for you. If you want to delve into detailed descriptions of this part of history, and want to invest the time and effort, you should read them.

(*) the “general you”, directed towards the general audience.
