Both Engoron and James have apparently been moving behind the scenes on this for the best part of 3 weeks, and blocking all of the bolt holes.

My rank speculation is that one of the reasons the values were being inflated was a way to secretly increase the leverage (to borrow more money). I’m guessing it is a hollow, upside down shell, and has been a for quite a while.

The whole political scene in America is insane, being a Brit and watching from afar, i’m deeply glad to not be an American.
And that brings me great sorrow, as I’ve always had a huge fondness for the states.
Having grown up being a massive US sports fan, loving american musicians, movies etc…
It saddens me to see how polarising the political landscape is.
On one side you have man running to hold onto his presidentcy, that is clearly mentally compromised and some of the policies and idelogical positions are baffelling.
On the other hand, you have Donald Trump… arguablly one of the biggest scum bags in the world.
Its tragic really!

The last time I saw him I thought he was remarkable for his age, but I get that he is in his 80’s. My mam is 85 soon, and she’s sharp as a tack, but I wouldn’t want her to be the commander in chief of the US’s military might.
FYI I wouldn’t want Trump to own an air rifle…

Come on now, the guy can barely string a sentence together.
Its sad really, i dont even feel like its funny or silly, its just deeply sad.
He fumbles words/sentences, come out with random mumblings and the falls lately… i mean come on, he should be in a chair on a porch, enjoying watching his grand children.
I agree with most of that, its mental seeing that loon in charge! He’s essentially the American version of Boris Johnson, an equally below par human.
Its tragic how that is the best two options.

Sure, and i salute anyone who overcomes any issues in life, but ive seen various interviews where its just not there.
And I dont hate the guy, im sure 10 to 20yrs ago he’d do well, but age has caugh up to him as it does with us all and I just feel the democrats are handing it on a plate to republicans.
But you guys will obviously know better then myself, im just an outsider looking in.
I just see Biden and feel sorry for him.
He reminds me a lot of my Grandad who was my hero and a WW2 veteran, but in his final years you can just see he wasnt quite himself and not his faculties were firing.
Can I ask my American friends in here, do you guys have independent parties? Or anything outside of the big two?
I wonder if there are other viable options or candidates?
