Its notable that now that Bezos has leapfrogged Musk in the race to be the worldâs first certified trillionaire, Bezos is keeping any political support he might be offering to anyone a closely guarded secret. Bezos is continuing the âMr Corporate and nothing elseâ act going pretty well, and wonât have trouble with any political ambitions of his own, because he has enough money not to need anyone elseâs. Indeed, as Iâve noted in the past, Bezos is rich enough to buy his own nuclear powered AND nuclear armed blue water navy, and become the first one-person superpower on the planet.
Plus, if Bezos sees a future politically adventurous Musk as any sort of threat, Bezos could clip Muskâs wings with ease.
Iâd bet dollars to donuts that the orange shit-gibbon has approached quite a few folks with hat in hand groveling and offering promises.
Iâd also bet that all those obscenely rich people in the U.S. do not want Biden or a Democrat legislature since that would likely result in them actually having to pay taxes.

These people didnât become Ăźber-rich by handing largesse to con men. They may calculate that the taxes would be strategically cheaper than paying for a Trump dictatorship installing Americaâs first king.
Plus, the small armies of accountants these people keep on retainer, if theyâre doing their jobs properly, will tell said Ăźber-rich paymasters much the same thing.
Thereâs also the little matter of Trump deciding, if idiots give him a second term, that the usual gullible rubes among the poors wonât provide him with enough grift income, and start implementing âemergency powersâ to loot corporate bank accounts.
Indeed, if I can foresee this possibility, the Ăźber-rich should have done the same some time ago.
Thatâs before we factor in the very real possibility that his idea of âeconomic policyâ could send the US economy into a death spiral. If he triggers hyperinflation or some other terminal malaise, heâll have rich people right across the developed world clamouring for him to be hung, drawn and quartered.
Liz Truss had a tenure shorter than the shelf life of a lettuce when she tried Randianising the UK economy. Trump could find himself rubbing people up the wrong way, who settle their debts with a hangmanâs noose.

In the case of Russia, Iâve described politics there as chess played with hand grenades. Omango-Tan wouldnât last five seconds in that environment. Anyone considering him a disposable rival there would quickly arrange for him to become part of a concrete bridge pillar in Vitebsk.
Americans tend to be less overt in this matter, at least in the case of the political class. Though inciting disposable plebs to unleash another mass shooting incident could become the tool of choice in some of the more rabid Christian Nationalist circles, all the better to provide a pretext for their long sought after Inquisition.
Though weâll probably see their own version of the Night of the Long Knives before they buckle down to firing up Kristallnacht Mark II.

Heâs basically staged a de facto Mob coup within the RNC, and turned it overnight into nothing more than another arm of Omango-Tan Grift Inc.
The good news is heâs gutted the one part of the GOP that contained actual competent people, and turned it into part of his crime syndicate.
The bad news is that this will lead to voter suppression being ramped up to Spinal Tap 11, and possibly a second insurrection attempt if he loses to Biden.

There are folks who identify as atheist who have voted and will vote for trump. This, IMO, indicates that while they can claim skepticism about the existence of gods, they do not use skepticism beyond that.

Apparently it failed to occur to him, that this latest poverty plea merely reinforces the judgement against him in that case, that he overvalued his assets fraudulently. Heâs effectively handed the prosecution a slam dunk confession after the fact.
