Does the belief in God make better People?

A particularly stupid one would be my guess.

God demonstrated his “disapproval rating” for his most moral king by killing his innocent offspring instead of him! perhaps god didn’t disapprove at all… Loki you big joker

Just so. Doesn’t have a clue does it.

At work, one of the married women had an affair with a married man in the office… I knew and liked the woman and did not presume to judge her. Thought he was a moron and questioned her taste. My behaviour towards her did not change. The affair ended two marriages. I thought it was especially sad because the bloke had two young children. Having been through it, I think the end of most marriages has a lot of sadness, anger and hurt.

As a general principles based on observation and personal experience; a marriage is already over if one or both partners cheat***. Plus nobody knows or fully understands a marriage except the two participants.

***I’m not ignoring ‘open marriages’ because I’ve never seen one where each partner makes that claim.

Or Bathsheba just had a miscarriage. Squawk!

Going by memory - the baby was born - got sick and then died.

Regardless, infant mortality rates in the “olden days” was high. rough

How the fuck did I miss this gem. I really do have to hope you’re on a windup, otherwise that is another asinine claim that is demonstrably false.

Does the pseudonym Stormy Daniels mean anything to you?

Dear oh fucking dear…

Yeah…thats sounds more like YHWH’s modus operandi - let people piss him off and then punish others.
Corrected and spanked again! I could get to like this.

Ahhhh mate - ReREAD your statement and set aside my dirty mind so I had to RE-EDIT my whole reply!

:joy:

What about Monica Lewisnski? She blew the chronically married president of the US in the oval office fuck sake. Hilary didn’t even divorce the prick.

The trouble in which Billy Boy found himself was not for his act of adultery but for lying to congress.

Confirmation bias Cognostic? They take note of any scandal that ruins a career, but ignore all of the remainder?

Well Cognostic, if you’re going to use iron clad logic and objective evidence, well that hardly seems fair.

Campello has brought a toothpick and you’re using a semiautomatic…

Ha ha ha ha ha ha … Yea, you get a heart.

Yes the belief in God does make people behave better. The believer can handle death better in the long run. Atheist none believer believe that thier late loved ones are just rotten, stinking decaying, possible worm invested, decomposing in a casket. Um.

“Religious Trauma Syndrome”

Religious trauma can manifest in many ways, and no two people will have the exact same experience. However, there are several typical signs and symptoms often seen in adults who experienced religious trauma as children, including the following:

  • Impeded development (social, emotional, sexual, intellectual, and more.)

  • Excessive prejudice and bigotry towards other faiths, non-believers, anyone different.

  • Depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns. *Jesus is coming. Why try?

  • Poor decision-making skills. (Just pray and leave it to God.)

  • Lack of self-confidence and self-esteem. (I am nothing without god.)

  • Sense of isolation. (It’s just me and Jesus, my imaginary friend, the only one who understands me.)

  • Pervasive feelings of guilt and shame. I am a sinner. I was born a sinner. Help me rid myself of these lustful thoughts… oooohhh god… I want to have monkey sex with cog.

  • Difficulty forming healthy adult relationships… (Duh! “Truly I tell you,” He said, “unless you change and become like little children , you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3 " Professing themselves to be wise , they became fools…"
Romans 1:22. No one needs any more than a basic ability to utter grunts to understand God. 3ed grade is fine.

  • Poor interpersonal boundaries - hence all the knocking on doors, street preaching, calling people sinners, and pretending they have answers about life, the universe, and everything to share with the lost souls for whome they pity.

  • Nightmares and/or recurring uncontrollable thoughts about the trauma, of possibly offending god, ending up in the pits of hell… “Hell, by the way, a Christian invention poured into the brains of children at a young age to scare them into the faith.” Absolutely Child Abuse.

  • Avoidance behaviors (i.e., avoiding any thing, person, or place that reminds you of the trauma)

  • Health concerns (e.g., sleep issues or appetite problems)

I think it might be time to stop feeding the troll. :face_with_monocle:

Well, it quite evident that religion has done nothing to make you a better, more loving, more charitable person, unless of course you started out as an utter arsehole bastard dipshit creep and through the pious arrogance of your self-centred, self-asserting religious propaganda you’ve since elevated yourself to the level of an arrogant turd brained troll.
Hope you get well soon.
