“(Judge) Doughty scheduled a hearing in the case for May 16, saying he was taking the step in “the interest of dispelling our strong suspicion that the Government just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process.”‘

It’s possible that this judge didn’t just make ICE’s/ Orange administration’s Activist Judges Who Need Arrested and Confined list, but I’m doubting it.

Where to go after initiating the destruction of an economy and markedly decreasing respect for your country on the world stage?

The hasty raping of the planet, specifically public land, after fabricating an emergency. Obviously.

Trump administration fast-tracks oil and mining projects, angering environmentalists

“The Trump administration said it will accelerate permit approvals for mining, drilling and fossil fuel production and transportation on public land, fast-tracking a review process that would normally take years.”

The cruelty of this regime knows no bounds.

Raphael Warnock, probably today:

“I hear people attack poor people and act like it’s a crime to be poor, rather than to recognize it’s criminal for so many people to BE poor. They do all of this in the name of Jesus… Jesus is the biggest victim of identity theft in the United States.”

Jesus is, of course, whomever some random person makes him out to be, no more and no less … but it’s a fair critique just the same. The actual alleged words of Jesus in the gospels do not have him assaulting the poor, but trying to help them and elevate them. Poor people, minorities, LGBTQ people – as portrayed, he’d have hung out with them all. In fact in the narratives he’s disparaged for hanging out with prostitutes and other alleged ne’er-do-wells.

So the fundamentalist-driven otherization of the poor, disadvantaged, minorities, disabled, etc. comes from a place of moral depravity even by their own supposed standards.

Good luck today, :canada::crossed_fingers:t4::canada::crossed_fingers:t4::canada::crossed_fingers:t4::canada:

I watched the Star Wars prequals yesterday and their parallel to the current situation in the U.S. is amusing. An evil politician uses a trade war to compromise and destroy the Republic. Sounds just like what Trump is trying to do.

It took 42 years to resolve the Sith problem in the Star Wars universe.

I predict Don the Con will get the Presidential term limit abolished then consult Dr. Oz on a cure for aging.

Then the 42 year Reich… er, I mean term… will pale in comparison to his glorious, revenge-fueled ruler ship!

I hereby claim movie and franchise rights.

The only realm left for Orange’s Palpatine-esque asshole grandiosity really is the whole universe, apparently.

Trump: ‘I run the country and the world’

“The first time, I had two things to do — run the country and survive; I had all these crooked guys,” Trump said in the interview published Monday. “And the second time, I run the country and the world.”

It’s a Liberal government
Just waiting now whether it’s a minority or a majority.

Whew

Here comes the big jobs cuts in the U.S. (not counting the government jobs to which muskrat took a chainsaw). I’m sure this won’t be the last of them. Will the press even notice the small business headcount cuts? Yay tariffs! :triumph:

I’m glad I’m retiring in five weeks and getting out of that rat race, although I do feel very sorry for all the folks that have to worry about their jobs while the Cheeto is in power.
