Why don't Christians give Muslims and Hindus a hard time?

Careful now, you are showing a slight additional affinity for straw men. I just wanted to alert you to the possibility that some strangers (certainly not me) might have a thing about wanting to slap any and everyone who just happens to rile us in any or all manner of ways…

True. I know some people who enjoy randomly slapping people.

In fact, my mom’s fiance keeps threatening to slap me randomly.

See, there you go putting words in my mouth and I hate that cause I have other things in there that are taking up most of the space. I’ll have you know that I always require of myself at least a semblance of a “rile” before the slapping urge kicks in. I would never randomly slap people. That would be uncouth and uncivilized.

I wasn’t saying that you randomly slap people lmao. My mom’s fiance randomly hits me, and then calls it “play hitting,” though it hurt. I doubt you’d randomly go around hitting people, though.

Whew, you had me worried there.
Sometimes after reading or listening to theists babble on about sky-daddy and other such gibberish, I find myself moving in the direction or random slappery. though.

Maybe you should throw some dog shit at him at random and tell him it is just “play shittery”

Target is is an untrue assessment Christian motivation. Christians only seek to spread the word of God and lead lost people to salvation. Modern society loves to vilify this motivation out of some need to avoid judgement. Children do not like living within rules. They fight rules and guidence until they become adults and vow to abolish any judgement of themselves by anyone or anything. With the rise of the internet, psychologicalically we have become a society of experts who can’t be reasoned with. We have already created our own models understanding which we continuously reinforce by picking and choosing the ideas and opinions we see on the internet - in real time. Increasingly, I see people of the lowest intelligence polarized against rational learning. At this moment, a certain percentage of those reading this just became resentful at this assessment. The fact is Christianity represents the most loving compassionate proposition. Yes it accepts monitary donations but does not require them. Christians actually completely respect Muslims to worship God as they see fit. God is for all men and women. A better question is why do atheists target Christians with vilification and ridicule? Christians just want to save as many people as they can, because they realize that man’s developed disbelief in the creator is, like racism learned over time from exposure to evil forces in society. All children are born loving their creator - completely compassionate and giving because they are freshly arrived from his presence and love. It is only after they are exposed to the evil that Satan keeps just as fresh and present on this earth, that they question and ultimately forget the face their father and creator. Christians love Muslim people as they do all God’s children- indiscriminantly and unconditionally with God’s love, charity and forgiveness.

Fixed that for you…

This is how you vilify people and the reality that you are inwilling to accept. No one in this day and age can force anyone to believe anything. Let me ask you this. If you absolutely knew 100% the truth that there is a God and he created you, (you do) would you still maintain your position as an atheist?

“Inwilling” is not a word, so I assume you mean “unwilling”. What reality am I unwilling to accept?

Tell that to ISIS, who force people to convert (whether they actually convert is a different matter, but they do force people to outwardly acknowledge they believe whatever it is they want people to believe). And don’t tell me that fundamentalist christian parents do not force their kids to believe in the superstitious shit described in the bible. And so on. In short, you’re full of shit.

If I had the objective empirical evidence to prove there is a god, I would of course believe there is a god. But that does not mean I would worship that god. And especially not if it was the self-obsessed, narcissistic, sadistic, megalomaniac, murderous, infanticidal, etc. abrahamic god. But there was no such evidence the last time I checked, so I live happily with my lack of belief. In any case, if we for the sake of argument assume that this all-knowing, all-powerful jewish/christian/muslim god is real and exists, this god would surely know what it would take for me to believe. The very fact that this god has not revealed itself to me in such a way that I would believe, must mean that either it hasn’t done so yet, or just does not care. Or, more likely, that the premise is wrong, i.e. that the god does not exist. In either case, that surely is not my problem.

So what objective empirical evidence do you have for the existence of your god?

Wow, @Get_off_my_lawn , I think you overlooked that tired old claim. I haven’t heard that one in quite some time but it still makes me smile when I see or hear it. Sure, you know god created you but you are just some belligerent fuck that wants to quarrel all of the time…
Of course any of us here (or at least most) would accept empirical evidence, but none of us here that are the least bit rational would worship such a thug. Still waiting…

I have a few Christian friends who would STRONGLY disagree with that statement. Oh, but wait… They’re probably not TRUE Christians like you are. My bad…

I am not antagonistic towards any theist. I am antagonistic against people who can not justify their beliefs and respond with distractions, evasions, insults, and bullshit.

@Richeydale67 Your display of a complete investment in your faith is obvious. You are into jesus, jesus is into you, you have this spiritual 69 thing going on. I get it, she gets it, he gets it, everyone gets it, you have faith in a god.

But the question that is being asked is WHY?

So please eliminate all the talk about how faith this and faith that makes your fuzzies all warm and tickly. I want to know that if you believe in a god, it must be for a good reason, thus please offer some proof of your god.

Understand this: if evolution was proven totally false and that atheism is built on crazy thoughts, that does not make your god true. It does not move the needle.

So please, offer evidence or proof of your god.

And FFS, no more preaching. We get it, you love jesus and he loves you back.

In my debates with him I feel like he’s done nothing but try to convert and his whole arguments come off whiny with “why wont you believe me?” and how he thinks atheism is just a cover that he’s gotta fix. That’s been his play the whole time.

I think Theism is a mask and Atheism and the findings from scientific evidence lead to more factual truths.

And then he whines about us being Atheists. He whines that we make fun of him for his beliefs in the Adult version of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. What did he expect would happen? You come into a community of people who looked over scientistific research, evidence, facts, and common knowledge. Looked over historical and Anthropological evidence and found nothing but the fact the Bible was written by men and that Christianity is and was nothing but a religious movement. A community that concluded based on those things that his god is fictional and his religion is immoral and lie.

His problem is that he refuses and dismisses it. He lies and gives wishful thinking and imaginary evidence based off of his ignorance.

I think he believes because his parents or someone close to him indoctrinated him, groomed him with absurd superstitions, made him immoral since he despises women, and fucked his mind clear into it. Because he cant handle anyone not believing in his bullshit religion and not agreeing with his fucked up immorals.

I pity that Christians live in fear of going to hell everyday. But from the bullshit he spouts about women and making excuses for his genocidal pyscho of a deity. That’s a fitting punishment for him. I don’t feel sorry for him.

Okay, so I already know Mr. Rich will not understand this. Therefore, this is mostly for the lurkers here who are actually trying to learn something…

IF somehow, somewhere, some way it was proven to me without a doubt that some type of god truly does exist, then obviously I would have to believe that god actually exists. THEREFORE, I would obviously NO LONGER BE an atheist. And if I were to try to maintain an atheist position at that point, a person would have the right to call me a complete idiot. It ain’t complicated, folks. Now, that does not necessarily mean I would WORSHIP that god, but I would certainly have to believe in it. So doth endeth the lesson.

I think there is a subtle nuance here. If you are presented good enough evidence (courtroom-style proof, without a doubt) that a god exists to accept the god exists, then you don’t necessarily believe in it, but you believe in its existence. The former also implies the latter, but leans slightly over to a religious affiliation with that god, while the latter leans more over to matter-of-factly acknowledging its existence.
