Whatever god helps the U.S. it is needed today

The USA has been energy independent for more than a decade; maybe you shouldn’t believe everything you are told.

I think we’ve just seen why many of us are apprehensive about a Trump presidency - the support for their side over the truth. This will be a recurring theme over the next 4 years.

They died after the fact, and not due to anything that happened that day. The one person who was killed was a military veteran who was shot in the head by a member of the Capitol police and was never identified or ever charged with any crime.
That is fucked up.
Yes, I’ve seen the footage of the Capitol police standing by as protesters WALKED through the Capital building sight seeing. There wasn’t any fucking insurrection, it was pissed off voters who were being ignored by the Republicans.

Then why did we have to import 3 billion barrels of crude oil from Canada and other countries in 2021? That was 43% of the oil we used that year.
I don’t count it as being energy independent when this is still happening.

The other members of NATO need to pay their fair share like they agreed to when they joined. They’re going to defund themselves if they don’t fix this.
Not one person has been charged with insurrection, it’s been trespassing. And 6-7 years in prison for that, that’s insane.
If it was so fucking violent, then why wasn’t a single firearm confiscated? That’s not a straw man, it’s the truth.

that is an exchange because when you build a reactor, you have to built it to match a certain supply stream. Do you know how commodities work; or are you repeating talking points you don’t understand? That is also why “drill baby drill” is a ridiculous statement by someone who doesn’t know what the fuck they are talking about; or at the very least crafted to fool the ignorant, who don’t know any better, like you.

That is a falsehood as well sir. Do you think it is an accident that you can’t seem to speak on these matters without making ludicrously false statements?

You think defending the Capitol and the members of the government from a violent insurrection was purely coincidental, seriously?

You make it sound like she just happened to be passing, rather than at the head of a violent mob trying to break through the last door between them and the members of government that officer was there to protect. Having of course used violence to illegally enter the Capitol building already, and been warned several times. The fact she was a veteran has no relevance I can see to the crime she was committing? The officer discharged his weapon in the legal execution of his duty, why would there be any charges?

You’re watching the wrong video, or that’s a risible lie.

If you repeat the claim it wasn’t violent now, I can only view it as a deliberate lie.

There absolutely was an insurrection, and being pissed off that Republicans wouldn’t aid in their attempted coup to overturn a legal election doesn’t make what they did any less illegal.

I already said this, and i never said they were going to do anything, try responding to the facts, instead of straw men.

I don’t think you now what defund means?

I don’t think you know what violent means?

Violent
adjective
1.using or involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.

It doesn’t mention guns, see?

Since I never mentioned guns, or claimed any firearms were confiscated, and you’ve ignored the actual facts I presented, it is by definition a straw man fallacy. FYI, violence is possible without a gun or firearm of any kind. and I find it hard to imagine you don’t know this already.

You expect a campaign promise to be kept? Or any promise from the Trumptard?

Because electing a convicted felon and rapist is so very positive. It sets such a good example for children. It sends a wonderful message to the world about who U.S. citizens are,

As I said, buckle up, it’s going to be a long 4 years. I have a spare room, two in fact since I will probably be on a train to some gulag soon… :sunglasses: :innocent:

It’s going to be a great deal longer than just four years. Trump/Vance will likely get to choose two more lifetime seats on SCOTUS. Project 2025 will dismantle a great deal of the U.S. government. The “permission” to engage in discrimination will only increase and would (will?) take decades to correct. The folks who will be kicked out of the country won’t be able to get back in. Folks who lose their life savings or go bankrupt because of increased medical cost won’t get that back. The increase taxation of the lower and middle classes will not be rebated. The already rich will get substantially richer on the backs of others who will not see it returned. The children who were denied an accurate education won’t get to re-do school. The children who are indoctrinated with xtianity is schools will either stay that way or endure a stressful (and too often a painful) decontamination. And so many, many other issues.

I dont think Trump will be there in 2026. He has served is purpose for the Musk/Bannon type axis. The first “reforms” will be proceeded then when the Drumpf (as he inevitably will) makes a decision that adversely affects the oligarchs in Drumpfs pursuit of popularity…he is gone. Expect a heart problem, sudden bowel infection or a proper assassin to carry him off and little puppet Vance is installled to take the hate of the public until he too is declared too toxic and the infighting will begin.

Don’t expect any elections, a “National Emergency” will necessitate a “delay” of all democratic expression while the hunting down of the “enemy within”. continues apace.
Governors will start to be appointees “for the duration” right down to local Sherriffs.
National media censorship will be introduced including the internet, in the name of “free Speech” and the “Suppression of False News”

Goodbye America, it was nice knowing you.

You all sound like hyperbolic, deranged, and hysterical sheeple. Take a few deep breaths and calm down for fuck’s sake. She lost the election because she was the dumbest, most ill prepared candidate to make it to a national election.
Her choice(?) for VP was a clusterfuck of a decision as well.

Can any one name her greatest accomplishment as VP? Our “Border Czar” left the doors wide open, and allowed 11 to 16 million illegal immigrants to simply walk acrossd the Southern border. That’s unacceptable to the majority of US citizens.

The election was a landslide victory for a reason, we’re tired of the insanity of the Left and progressives who’ve been in charge for 12 of the last 16 years.
Enough already.

By virtue of the fact that you actually wrote this, it is obvious you have no idea how the U.S. government actually works.

How is this figure arrived upon? Is it even possible to obtain definitive figures or ranges on unauthorized immigrant numbers?

How does this compare to previous administrations? If higher, could it be attributed to a high encounter rate by Border Patrol in the time implied and not an actual increase in border crossings?

Well I wasn’t born until the mid sixties of course, but I have heard tales of the McCarthy hearings, I am guessing there is “nothing new under the sun”, only the faces, and the fashions change (slightly), the struggle remains the same. This is not (necessarily) endgame for democracy or freedom (even in the US), though it behoves us all to view it for the threat it undoubtedly is.

A lot of Germans laughed at (S)Hitler initially, and this is not that surprising, even with hindsight, but if you don’t stop laughing in time, then the last laugh might well be on you. I think many US citizens have missed their second (out of two) chances to “stop laughing”. Stopping the rot now, will obviously take more than a tick in a box…

  1. There is no position in the current U.S. government called “Border Czar”.
  2. Please cite your source for that number. Over what period of time?
  3. It was Trump who insisted that the bi-partisan bill to assist in control of the border be killed.
  4. Despite Trump insisting that that bill be killed, the Executive Orders Biden was able to put into place resulted in a decrease of illegal crossings.
  5. What impact has immigration directly had on your life? Did an immigrant (legal or illegal) take the job you don’t have? Did an immigrant prevent you from getting medical care? Did an immigrant take your grandchild’s spot in a school? Please cite exactly what immigration has done to lessen the quality of your life.

I’d focus less on the figure, and more on the rhetoric, why do Trump supporters, or indeed anyone, think immigration laws were entirely waved away under the Biden administration?

Most of MAGA’a hyperbolic rhetoric, can be disavowed, or at least contextualised, with a simple Google search.
