(OT) Or On Topic? 92 Billion Light Years Across

Get someone, a psychiatrist maybe, to help you fight those impulses while they’re still just impulses. Your writing isn’t a victimless crime if it inspires another to hurt a child.

They can’t misuse them if you don’t write them. Which was rather the point.

Do you know one striking difference between me, an evolved ape, and the monotheistic deity with limitless power and knowledge people worship?

I would stop all unnecessary suffering if I could. Where I would prevent the rape of a child, their deity if it exists, is content to let it happen over and over again, with the warning it will punish them for it.

Is what you get from these stories worth the risk?

@anon14261619 Here is a hypothetical situation.

For the sake or argument I am a pedophile, and very aware of my condition and the reason society frowns on such behavior. I could seek help and learn how to control my urges, and eventually via such techniques diminish them to the point where I rarely contemplate being a pedophile.

Or I could feed into my urges, seek out others with my condition, and feed their appetites. A vicious cycle ensues, everyone feeding off each other’s fantasies and making the group experience even more profound. And typically, a few who are immersed in the stories/fantasies, take it one step further into the land of real action.

Which of those two scenarios have the better chance of living a full and peaceful life, and a person most members of society welcome?

Yes I can. Disney understood the attraction of cute anthropomorphic animals for children and you simply can’t prove some people won’t use your work for grooming youngsters (see what the nice little animals do? Why do we do that?). The point remains that just because you are not aware of any victims does not mean there are none, nor does it absolve you of responsibility for those victims.

I repeat I don’t care what you write, I do care that what you write might trigger even one individual to start literally fucking up some child’s life. As I suggest you should keep it to yourself.

Can you rule it out? If not then your actions carry an inherrent risk.

That in a nutshell is what people are objecting to here.

Which include the act of creating this material

Of course you can, quite obviously.

That doesn’t negate the risk those stories pose, or your responsibility for producing them.

Do your stories condemn unequivocally any molestation of children as egregiously immoral, or do they present such acts as sexually gratifying?

Like someone glorifying acts of racist violence, then saying they bear no responsibility for the result.

Morality is often a complex issue, but if you rightly accept it’s immoral to victimise children, then clearly writing articles that risk inciting others to commit such acts can only be viewed as immoral.

@anon14261619 Right now I am convinced you are an immoral pedophile who has not attacked a child only because you are aware of the legal consequences.

You constently think about it, you discuss it with others of a like mind, you do artwork and compose prose. You do everything but step over the line from legal (as defined in your region) to illegal.

And because you share your impulses with those with the same outlook, be aware you are feeding into their urges, and some will eventually step over the line. You are an enabler.

@anon14261619 I do not like saying this, I like many aspects of you. But I draw a hard line on the sand concerning the welfare of innocent and vulnerable children. And we are standing on opposite sides.

Yeah…this is pretty gross and disgusting. I would have to agree with the folks here. I wish that was never mentioned, and instead, go back to discussing the topic of this thread. Thanks.

So anyways, if you could travel at the speed of light, you could not reach the other side of the universe because it is expanding so fast.

What if I was running as fast as I can…at the speed of light?

Thanks for going back to the original subject. High. And been fighting these impulses since the 90s… or before. Been fighting them since before turning 18 myself and I was still a kid when I first had these impulses. I will be 51 in June I am getting very very good at fighting these impulses. Had a couple boys stay over a few times before they were 10 yet. Now they are over ten and both have girlfriends. I think it is awesome they are getting on in their lives as they begin to mature further. Yes I was attracted to them, I have a lot more sense and morals than to touch them. BUT. The other problem would be dealing with that family once they would find out and the damage it causes to a child. But by the time I would get done with that family I would be begging for jail.
I wont say fuck it and do it anyways I would rather go after a stuffed toy of my user name. Sorry I made that so long.

Even at the speed of light it would take 92 billion years to get there. And by that time the universe will probably have expanded over 100 billion light years across. So you would just go into more space.

So far as we know though, nothing can travel at that speed anyways.

The rate of recession (speed) between objects in the universe (and by objects, I mean galaxies that are not in the same local group); is proportional to the distance between them. At large enough distances this rate exceeds the speed of light. So anything at that distance (or further) wouldn’t be possible to reach, even at the speed of light.

The recession being proportional to distance is what keeps your body from flying apart. Because the distance between your cells/atoms/whatever is so small in comparison, that these forces (and corresponding expansion) are negligible on your body. There are much stronger forces holding you together, forces that are inversely proportional to distance (like electromagnetism, which gets stronger and stronger as the distance shortens).

One major puzzle science has not resolved is the geometry of the universe. Please understand that even I have problems comprehending how this is. It is more than two dimensions, so it’s very hard to imagine. Bit if the universe is flat, if you set out in a straight line, could travel much faster than light, you would reach the boundaries. If the universe is closed, you will circle around and eventually return to your starting point.

Who knows, maybe the universe is like Klein bottle, where inside can become the outside, and so on.

So far astronomers have not been able to declare the geometry of this universe. New data keeps shifting the goalposts and science has to re-adjust. This is one concept too many theist fail to comprehend, that science does not declare, just offer tentative explanations.

But recent data from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope indicates this universe is flat.

What if I was sprinting as fast as I could, at the speed of light, and someone game me a shove?

Yes @David_Killens our universe is fascinating. And I have read that it is flat.

Really. Gee I didn’t know that. Who’d have thought? Just like the earth

The three dimensional geometry is labelled “flat”.

Too high to say anything too intelligent but the pattern of everything just here in our solar system has a flat angle to which they rotate.

Did i get it right?

If you are referring to the fact that the planets all lay on a similar plane, sorry, that has nothing to do with the geometry of this universe.

The geometry of the universe encompasses the overall gross structure of it. I am speaking in very generalized terms, it gets quite detailed and involves some crazy math and concepts.

I suggest you read up on the geometry of this universe. Wiki is a decent place to start. Do not be alarmed if it is difficult to grasp. It is. I built up my knowledge of this kind of stuff, and when I hit such topics as relativity and the geometry of the universe, it gets deep and complex. And ot be honest, I know I do not have a ful grasp of of it’s concepts.
