It sounds like Closet Atheism to me. People who are secretly Atheists because they are horrified to come out about it because of their social circle. So they do all of the religious stuff because of their friends and family as to not get harassed or ostracized. That’s the only way I can relate to it.

They agree with SOME of the rules and ‘morals’ of christianity but do not hold supernatural beliefs, and of course there maybe some other personal reasons too, it really depends who you ask as they are all human.

As an atheist I find that many religious teachings are valid and worth living. Not because they come from religion, but are just common sense and a practicable method in living with others.
I do not hold any supernatural beliefs. My philosophies are simple, “leave me alone and I wont fuck with you”.
