@David_Killens Umm…what is that giant red thing on his chin, by the way. Looks like a pimple.
Bruising from “serving” some of his cohorts.
It takes big balls to be in politics.
In my opinion, Frank is about one thing.
Power.
The question is, how long will it take before people who go there to debunk conspiracy theories (as I may do myself as a means of battling weapons of mass political destruction) be vomitted from the site, perhaps not by mods directly, but by other members. How many people will go there for the “free speech” that is not free speech, only to be completely intolerant towards those who disagree with them? They are basically a cult that wants to create their own echo chamber because Fox News refused to completely abandon journalism in favor for white nationalist propaganda that is attempting to create an Al Qaeda like terrorist organization that aims to take over America just like the Confederacy. People like the “My Pillow Guy” are those who simply see an opportunity to capitalize on the same kind of religious indoctrination that all atheists should be against.
@David_Killens Do I even need to ask, what you mean by “serving”?
@ZealotX These people see free speech as free, when it only applies to them, and not for anyone else, which is contradictory to the fact that free speech, as mentioned in the First Amendment of the US Constitution, applies to all citizens (not sure about green card holders and tourists, though).
The people, who claims to be the most patriotic…who claim to love this country, are the very ones who are destroying the country they love, making it bad for everyone, including themselves. SMH.
You’re absolutely right.
And it’s ironic because in my opinion the whole theme of America is “freedom and justice for (ALL)”
I could be wrong, but the idea of America was in stark opposition to the feudalism and control of charismatic rulers. What is a king, but a person of extreme wealth and means whose fortunes are mainly in real estate (wink) and therefore tax their citizens for living on their land the same way that people in real estate charge people to live in the residences they build or acquire.
The old kings “protect” their kingdom because that is the only way for them not to lose their own assets that constantly increase their own wealth. But of course they “protect” their kingdom by using the lives of their “subjects”. But to do that, they needed the cover of some kind of construct in which people would see them as being more than just wealthy. They had to be seen as “royalty”. The idea is fundamentally erroneous and offensive to me because it suggests that they are better than other people. And so they make a pretense of pretending to be. And people fall for it; indoctrinated to believe in “royal” status.
For America to be against this whole idea, they had to defy kings; physically fight kings for the right to be free citizens without a wealthy person owning all the land simply by claim; using the lives of their subjects to acquire it. The early settlers perhaps realized something that broke their indoctrination of royalty; that as long as they weren’t living on the king’s land… there was actually nothing forcing them to obey the king’s whims. Simply put, they were already free and they refused to be placed back into bondage.
And so they created a plan to rule themselves, where they could all be equal and pursue happiness without the dictates of the wealthy. They could have wealthy politicians but they had to at least be voted in by the will of the people who could always dethrone them if they forgot what the whole thing was about.
I say all this to say that many Americans are “un-American” because they seem to fundamentally disagree with this premise. They don’t want equality. They want to be ruled by the ultra rich, thinking that they, and not the “others” (black and brown people) will be “protected”. But after slavery, Black people escaped the same kind of bondage to rich that Americans had to the English king. And somehow they see Black Americans as less American, because in their minds America is not about freedom, but rather “supremacy”; A type of pseudo “Royalty” by blood.
This is a danger to America that America has yet to see. Jan 6th is a day that will live in infamy and yet it was simply a symptom of the underlying cancer and one that Trump did not create and only exploited.
@ZealotX I remember thinking that the events of January 6th, reminded me of “Bastille Day” in France, during the French Revolution, back in the late 1700s. Don’t know why, but this came up.
Trump and his “beliefs” are the symptom, not the disease.
He was an opportunist who slipped into the office because the opening was there.
@David_Killens Yes…everything arises, as a result of causes and conditions. The election of Trump is a symptom of something deeper, that needs to be addressed in this country.
Yes, that’s exactly what I’m saying. And although I don’t give Trump himself much credit, he or his staff were smart enough to find out what so many republicans wanted (sounds normal as I say it out loud) in a way that seemed to reveal the soul of the party and then they relentlessly, and without shame, hit as many of those points as they could without alienating too many Republicans at the same time. That level of research is impressive only because I don’t think anyone else knew the extent of these conservative beliefs and ideals. And they knew that they didn’t have to worry about moderates which should be scary to all because it also means enough moderates agreed with enough of the platform that they were also willing to go along with the circus.
