Rape is very under reported even today. Itâs humiliating and hard to prove. Unless she ended up severely beaten or pregnant I canât imagine any women of that era telling anyone. I think it was worse if she was betrothed or married because then they were both considered adulterers and stoned to death if it wasnât actually seen by reliable witnesses. Hitchens alluded to the possibility that the whole Christian myth could have started with a girl lying about how she got pregnant to avoid the horrible consequences of the day. If so, that was quite an audacious play of the system.
Of course it isâŠafter all, almost half the U.S. supports a rapist for president.
I can see why, but I donât approve of it. It needs to change. In a lot of cases itâs treated like hearsay and domestic violence. The cops where I live wonât do anything against a husband who beats and rapes his wife. They just give them an orange slip of paper with a get help line for marriage counseling or couples therapy.

If cats wore pants, A or B?

Ahhhh⊠Sometimes (rarely) there really is such a thing as âinstant justiceâ. ![]()
He was rape shaming women, he asked for that beat down.
Whilst I donât condone violence, that comment at the bottom is fucking hilarious.
Thatâs what is worrisome who are they talking about? What plans are they making?
And likely having a fascinating conversation ![]()
I should post some sentences they use to teach Korean children English. These books are often written by Korean publishers who speak very little English and written by Korean professors of English who canât recognize double entendres, alliteration errors, subject confusion within a sentence, run-on sentences, or dangling participles that hang at the end of sentences without saying anything and are put there for no reason at all outside the fact that this may be the way the Koren speaks when he is socializing with other Koreans whom he wishes to impress.
Know what I mean? LOL
