hides angle grinder and oxy torch bebind back Oh I am sure you wont be much trouble fiddles with oily rag and matches
ā¦(*sniff-sniff*)ā¦. Heeeyyyyā¦. Why do I smell acetylene? (Oh, gee⦠Look at the time. Welp, gotta go. Wife is about to be home. Take care everybody.)
Welcome back, @Tin-Man! Hope all has been well.
Thank you. Yes, all is going well, thankfully. Taking care of a 5 y.o. several days/nights out of the week tends to keep one busy, though. Also rather taxing on the creative mindset. The little bugger is growing up so fast, itās almost scary. He and his Mom live with me and my wife now, and I am the primary ābaby sitterā when everybody else is at work. (My stepdaughter finally left her useless boat anchor of a āhusbandāaround the first part of the year.) Sure, we no longer have near the privacy we were accustomed to having, but I wouldnāt have it any other way right now. I have the peace of mind in knowing my grandson is safe here with us. Thatās all that matters to me. How are things on your end? Oh, and what in the name of all things holy and sacred made anybody think putting Old Man in a moderator position was a good idea? I came back back primarily to determine how much I can get away with before he boots me out of here.
(Well, that and I think I may have left one of my favorite axes laying around here somewhere. Wanna try to find it. Just hoping Cog didnāt take off with it and hide it in one of his banana trees.)
@Cognostic hasnāt made an appearance here in ages, either.
Perhaps the mothership finally returned for him?
Or is he now living at your house, too? Perhaps in a crawl space or understair cupboard where cleaning the mess is a bit easier?
I doubt it. Pretty sure I would have smelled him by now. Besides, I seriously doubt he would last here long with my grandson questioning him 15,000 times a day about why he smells so funny, and why he has all those bugs crawling in his fur, and why heās always eating rotted bananas. The kid notices damn near everything and will not hesitate to point out if something looks wrong or odd. And since he has recently started reading so well, Cog would have to keep his collection of romance novels stashed away from my grandsonās view. And Iām quite certain my wife would NOT allow him to smoke his cheap cigars anywhere near the house. So, again, Iām pretty sure he hasnāt been here. Too bad, though, because I kinda miss the mangy mongrel sometimes.
