Be advised, medicine doesn’t work on Cog. Given his questionable lifestyle these past few years, he has developed an amazingly high tolerance for just about every pharmaceutical substance known to Man. (To be honest, it’s actually fairly impressive, if you ask me.) Anyway, point being, don’t expect your endeavors to have much of an effect on him. That flea-infested King Kong wannabe doesn’t keep a banana plugged into each of his ears for nothing. Thank God you are still trying, though. I have no sense of WHAT this “Cognostic” character believes. He seems to spout only angry, sarcastic rants. He clearly isn’t versed in the discipline of logical argument, so he really isn’t worth the attention he enjoys. That’s why my last reply to him was on his level—silly insults.

It sounds CRAZY to hear that the end of the winter solstice on (or near) Dec. 25 is “the end of winter”!!!
It’s still freezing outside for months afterwards.
The bitter cold of winter sticks around. When we Canadians turn on our car heater in winter, it takes a while for the car to heat up. Ditto for the planet. The sun is rising a bit higher every day after the “end of winter”, but the sun doesn’t create enough heat to suddenly eliminate the cold that’s left behind. It’s going to take time.
But, “astronomically” it actually IS “the END of winter” near Christmas.
Here’s the basic scoop…—> As you know, the sun’s “orbit” around our planet changes every day. During the summer the sun rises HIGHER each day, until it reaches its HIGHEST point on June 21, when the amount of “day and night” are EQUAL (and that’s the summer EQUA-NOX). Afterwards, the sun rises LOWER each day, until it reaches its LOWEST point—6 months later—on Dec 21, when the amount of “day and night” are EQUAL (and that’s the summer EQUA-NOX).
