Well no actually, since all the claims I made about meditation can be supported by objective evidence, like lowering heart rate and blood pressure and aiding relaxation, the claims you’re making still sound like woo woo. I also didn’t tell you that you were “doing it wrong”, which is what you said to me. The only thing I have questioned are the claims you are making that use woo woo terms and make bold claims that you cannot demonstrate any objective evidence for.
How does that address your original fallacy?
Well that’s just subjective hearsay, you can’t imagine anyone here will simply accept a bare claim of this nature, especially when you are suing terms that outside of your religion appear to be meaningless, unevidenced, and which have as far as I can see no objective explanatory powers.
Anyone can put a blood pressure cuff on me before and after meditation and see objective evidence for the claim I can use it to lower my heart rate and blood pressure. What objective evidence can you demonstrate for your claim that are even close to that?
Well again these are subjective terms from your religious beliefs, As I said we have senses, and those senses allow us to detect things, what is sense consciousness and what objective evidence can you demonstrate for it?

It happens with sleep paralysis if you can open your eyes first. You have to teach yourself how to do it. It could be referred to as a minimally conscious state. It’s just a brain state. You can probably experience it if you practice lucid dreaming or what is called astral projection. It’s just one of the brain states attributed to woo woo but with completely natural causes.

And sense objects? You don’t believe that there are forms external to the body? You don’t believe that forms give off an image; give off sounds; give off scents; tastes; tactile feelings when touched?
Again. Seriously? Do you NOT see how this bears no relation to religion? We’re talking common sense.
Sense consciousness? This merely implies (as any MRI can show) that there is activity in the brain when an eye meets a sight. Ie. the “seeing” occurs in the brain - not in the eye. The eye is necessary (just as the sight is) but without that sense consciousness in the brain, there is no “seeing” (no “perception”).
How is this religious? How is not self evident?

What’s not clear is why you think this will go unnoticed or unchallenged. Sense consciousness, means sensory awareness; consciousness through the senses. And again it is the woo woo claims you have previously attached to objective facts, that I and others have objected to, as you must know.

No. Quite clearly, in my previous post I explained that any MRI will detect activity of any case where, for example, the ear hears a sound. The sound does not occur in the sound itself. The sound does not occur in the ear itself. The sound occurs in the mind and can be demonstrated by machines like Magnetic Resonance Imaging - ie. sense awareness is something that happens in the brain. Ie. sense consciousness is something that happens in the brain.
These are my premises - simple premises which any fool could answer. And yet Sheldon continues to demand “objective evidence” for them.
I’m not trying to make anyone look stupid. I am extremely frustrated that I have a point to make which includes some very basic premises and despite how obvious they are - I can not get a straight answer from the person I am talking to.
