It is the right of the female to decide her own fate and not allowing others to have control of her body. By allowing yourself to be distracted by becoming engaged in arguing when a fetus becomes a human, you have not addressed the heart of the argument, the rights of the mother to have control of her own body.
They have played the distraction game and you have fallen for it.

You might want to point out that murder is defined as the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. So firstly if abortion is legal it isnât murder by definition, they merely want it to be made murder. Iâd also think that describing a foetus at various stages of its development as a human being is pretty facile.

The end result is a human person. Until that time allowed for sustained and chosen development- it is a potential.

There is a far cry of difference between the two. Same with the fetal development of a human until they are a live, self-sustaining human.

The heart of the argument is their entire intention.
Just like some parents believe that they are helping or purposefully hurting their child when they do circumcision, despite the fact that itâs been proved to only have bad affects (except for those who feel like they like circumcised penises more than not), they feel like itâs the right thing to do or they just want to do it to hurt your child. When you can understand the difference, you can formulate different arguments. For those who believe it helps, just prove that it does not help and, in fact, causes too much harm. For those who want to harm the child, youâll have to convince them that men and boys (and/or girls, depending if there is also FGM happening) are human beings who deserve respect and to be treated as people. See how the argument differs?
Obviously. Did I argue against that? No, I was merely stating what those who opposed it believe. That they believe itâs killing the baby, and it hurts them to see that. (Even though many of them ignore the actual victims of abuse and murder as children.)
Thatâs not my main argument (when it becomes human), but rather to convince them in a way that theyâll understand. If you just keep shouting âItâs a womanâs right!â theyâre not going to care. You have to reach them where they understand. Maybe one thing you could tell them is that, if you believe in God, would the babies not go to live with God? Are they not freed from the suffering too many children endure in this world? Stuff like that. Hit them where it hurts. (But not literally - thatâs just monstrous to do so.)
No, Iâve just been arguing about abortion for a couple years, from both sides (I was originally anti-abortion, but then switched to pro-abortion). I know where theyâre coming from. And while I did not do it because of I thought it was murder (I just hated how I saw some of the pro-abortion protestors acting), I knew where they were coming from.
However, I almost became an abortion as a child, and my mom wouldnât have even wanted it.
I would not use that argument. Thereâs too many problems with that.

Thereâs other problems, but thatâs my main one.
Rather, I would just rather argue that itâs not a person (because it is genetically human) until it takes itâs first breath.

It means your statement left him speechless. Basically, what you said caused a couple of his circuit breakers to trip, and I can totally relate to his problem. Lucky for me, though, I have redundant auxiliary secondary emergency reserve backup circuits.
If they do not believe in a femaleâs autonomy, then they are assholes. But if you flip the switch and argue that there should be laws that allow society to mess with menâs junk, trust me, they will oppose that proposition vehemently.
They may not even understand why, they may even spout off about protecting womenâs rights, but deep down, subconsciously, they believe that females are second class to males.
Why should I or anybody else here keep giving you the answers? Youâve made it very clear at this point you have zero intentions of listening to our advice, because you are already an expert on everything having already read a few âstudiesâ.
