Given that the “Richard Dale” cited in that article is reported to have gone to ground after the sexual assault and extortion charges, it would be a tad unusual if that individual was posting here. But I welcome another addition to my list of “pastors” and other “holy men” caught engaging in criminal sexual activity …

In addition, I note that the article in question dates from 2009. At that time, the “Richard Dale” in question was cited as being 64 years old. Today, if he is still alive, he will be 78 years old. It is, of course, entirely possible that he hasn’t lived that long, and I suspect there will be people who will, in the light of the news articles in question, be thinking “good riddance” if so.
Meanwhile, as for our resident mythology fanboy … it is of course open to question if he has any connections with this individual, but even if the connection is mere coincidence, it’s still revealing with respect to the ad hominems he’s posted about the membership here.
All too frequently, the most vocal pedlars of said ad hominems have a habit of being revealed to have some, shall we say, interesting skeletons in their closets. I’m reminded here of one George Alan Rekers, who built a career on the back of peddling homophobic hatred, via yet another of those right wing hate groups that multiply in the USA like bacteria in warm tuna salad. In Rekers’ case, he came to grief when it was revealed that he had hired a “travelling companion” for a European holiday … from the website “rent boy dot com”.
Another pedlar of Christofascist homophobia, one Ted Haggard, came unstuck when he was arrrested in the company of a male prostitute and a quantity of methamphetmine. That incident unfolded back in November 2006, but it appears that as recently as July 2022, he’s facing [url=https://religionnews.com/2022/07/26/disgraced-pastor-ted-haggard-faces-new-allegations/]repeated allegations of similar misconduct, including an incident in 2019 with an individual who was a minor at the time.
Meanwhile, we also have Josh Duggar to contend with. Part of the dysfunctional (and fundamentalist - quelle surprise) Duggar family, Josh was revealed to have molested four of his younger sisters. Somehow, he managed to escape the attention of law enforcement over that, but in 2021, the FBI caught him viewing child pornography, and he’s since been found guilty of several lurid charges relating thereto. He is due to be sentenced in April 2023, and he could face up to 40 years in prison.
We also have Frank Houston, one of the leading figures in the serial trainwreck that is the Hillsong megachurch organisation, found to have been involved in the rape of a 7 year old boy. His son, Brian, is facing charges of obstructing police investigations into the incident, and is facing a 5 year prison sentence if found guilty.
We also have Judge Paul Pressler, former head of the Southern Baptist Convention, who has been revaled to have a long history of porking underage boys. It should surprise no one to learn that the SBC sought to cover up the scandal, until an evangelical publication made the lurid details public.
That correlation between being a conservative Christian, and being involved in criminally actionable sex scandals, is growing stronger with each passing day.

News flash: It’s called cheap entertainment and circulating the cerebral juices. Ol’ Richey is simply having a bit of fun, while at the same time exercising his organic CPU. Can’t really fault the guy for that. 
This part doesn’t make sense. If he’s 63 years old he was born in 1959 or 1960. In 1964 he would have been 4 or 5 years old. What business was he in at that age? I assume “1964” was a typo…
Richard Dale took over the family business 45 years ago, and ran the mission much like his father did. He didn’t start the business, his father did.

Yeah, you make a good point there, Doc. There is only so much rational critical thinking a person can endure at one time. And, if we’re being honest, we really ARE a bunch of uncouth godless rebels here. Hell, I can’t even stand MYSELF most of the time. And how ANY of us tolerate Cog is an absolute wonder. At least Old Man is smart, and Skrit has his “funny” moments. Cog, on the other hand… Well, I’ll just stop right there.
Anyway, like you said, it really is no big mystery why Richey vacated the premises so abruptly. It’s a toxic mess around this place. No doubt his exposure strip started creeping quickly toward the red. I’m curious as to how long his decon and quarantine will take. I suppose it depends on his tolerance levels. Although, based on the indicators I detected with my superior finely tuned indicator detection skills, I suspect our dear Richey’s post-exposure treatment will be minimal due to his “loving child of God” persona not being quite as genuine as he attempted to project.
