Carry on 
The first and the best (imo) was "Carry On Sergeant’, although "Carry On Nurse " also was pretty good.
After a while the Carry On films became one of those minor eccentric British institutions which is kept going due to a nostalgia which never was.
(and yes, I can name every actor in that photo without cheating)
I really enjoyed the humor of the Carry On gang. Sight gags and adolescent humor, but to me, still funny.
You probably enjoyed the Whitehall farces…Brian Rix, Remember?
From Carry On Doctor, I think;
Doctor to patient: “Where were you injured?”
Patient " I got shot in the A—"
Doctor(interrupting) “Rectum?”
Patient “Well it didn’t do 'em any good” (Boom Boom)
The Carry On films are relentlessly working class, so can get away with being crude and obvious .
