Sounds about right. Also I’d guess another 42% are just not paying attention, or are in denial.
I mean, as a family we’re debt-free and have substantial retirement savings, all of it out of the markets since mid-March, and I’m working as secure a gig as there is to be had these days, and WE’RE worried.
And rightly so. The US is headed toward international irrelevance, most likely depression. And depression just organically leads to world war. In fact if we magically did a 180 today, I doubt the consequences could be undone – or even paused.
I think the percentage is also around 40% for the number of Americans who could not come up with $400 for an emergency. That’s scary–I can’t imagine living paycheck-to-paycheck like that.
A FAFO for Orange’s administration this time. The reaping from what’s been sown starts to come around, to one extent or another.
Maine Gov. Janet Mills beats Donald Trump, gets school meal funds restored while defending trans kids
“The Trump administration has backed down after a federal court intervened in its attempt to cut off funding for meal programs—punishment for the state’s refusal to discriminate against people by barring trans girls from participating in girls’ sports.”
Do you have an alternate source for this? I refuse to click on any link to X thereby supporting Muskrat by generating traffic to his wretched hive of scum and villainy.
People here are familiar with the shitstorm that has hit Boeing recently - battery fires on 787 Dreamliners, the 737 MAX cockup that resulted in deaths after two hull losses, resulting from a failed bid to match the use of NEO engines by Airbus, the door failure incident on an Alaska Airlines 737 … well now it appears Boeing is staring Götterdämmerung hard in the face.
The reason? The tariff war launched by the Carotene Carbuncle.
More on this development can be learned from this video clip:
Boeing is staring a $3 billion black hole hard in the face, and Trump’s response? “Not my problem”.
But other companies are now facing an even worse fate. Such as John Deere, the tractor and agricultural machinery manufacturer. Watch THIS video and see the tsunami of ruin they’re facing, as a direct result of Fanta Führer’s vindictiveness:
Speaking of Boeing jets, the government of Qatar is giving a Boeing 747, described as a flying palace, to the Cheeto. He intends to use it as Air Force 1 during his presidency, and then it’ll become the property of the Cheeto’s presidential library, effectively becoming his new private jet. Oh, and the U.S. Air Force will be expected to foot the bill of converting the 747 to private use.
This has to represent the largest bribe, ~$400M, ever made to a U.S. politician.
