I agree. Some folks just need to say “I can have an illogical, unevidenced belief because it’s a nice warm emotional blankey”.
Coming onto an atheist forum to try to convert or convince the beliefs are “real” is another thing altogether.

There is no reason to believe in a creator.
If God created the Universe, then where did God come from?
If God has always existed, then why not believe that the Universe has always existed?
If God’s origin is an unanswerable question, then why not decide that the origin of the Universe is an unanswerable question?
We shouldn’t believe in something just because we want to and it makes us feel better . . . as I mentioned earlier, self-deception can be dangerous.
