Why do atheists constantly critique religion and assert truth claims even though they have no way to ground their own epistemology?

You obviously have no idea what atheism is.

Again, in your unsupported opinion what “core beliefs” do I hold?

another truth claim.

  • Rejection of metaphysical claims about gods or spiritual beings.

  • Denial that any divine or supernatural entities exist.

  • Critique of religious or spiritual explanations

  • Emphasis on naturalistic or material explanations for phenomena traditionally attributed to divine forces.

  • Positioning in contrast to theism, which affirms the existence of a divine being or beings.

  • Differentiation from theism’s attempts to provide arguments or evidence for God’s existence.

  • Distinction from agnosticism, which neither affirms nor denies the existence of a god.

  • Recognition that agnosticism views the question of God’s existence as unanswered or potentially unanswerable.

  • Understanding atheism as a definitive stance, whereas agnosticism suspends judgment

Nope. it is a fact. You have no evidence at all that I have any “core beliefs” and definitely not what they are.

To cut things short for you…I lack belief in your claimed particular god or gods.

Thats it. The rest of your bullet points are dragged ex recto from your hopeful apologetic playbook.

Now put up or shut up. What evidence do you have for your god or gods?

It IS that simple….

Some people identified as atheist hold this position, some do not.

I am, for instance, identified as an agnostic atheist. I do not believe in any of the gods presented to me thus far and admit that I cannot definitively know if any of them exists.

which holds truth value, and you are asserting it. What makes it a fact?

These are the core beliefs of an atheist, if you aren’t assigned to these, then maybe rethink your poistion.

Ad hominem

Resulting to threats, how pitiful. This is usually how atheists act nowdays.

shifting the burden, you still haven’t addressed my point.

Do you even know what epistemology is?

agreed, but it still comes under a sub-sect of atheism.

Ok this reply is unacceptable.

I will give you one more go. You WILL be escorted out if you continue to troll.

According to who, and what measure?

I called out your low tier points, and you still haven’t answered the question of how you ground any statement that holds truth value.

Thanks.

You asserted that @Old_man_shouts_at_cl denies “that any divine or supernatural entities exist”

If you agree that one can be agnostic and atheist, why did you think it permissible to say it was one of his core beliefs never having asked if it actually was?

Not to put too fine a point on it you are actually arguing with the mods.

Now, you have been asked two straight questions by me. You have not answered with any debatable points.

Repeating your original claim when it is obvious that it is baseless does not convince anyone.

Edit: remoed “entirely” for obvious reasons.

because it is a definition of a central atheist, he has the tag “Atheist”, as do you. Maybe update your forum to enable multiple tags lol

can you rewrite in english please

You haven’t even addressed my points, you’ve just turned into a fallacy pumping machine

Again…you define atheism differently than all the atheists I know.

lmao an atheist appealing to objective truth

What is a “central atheist”?

I told you what my only “core belief” (as you define it, not me) as it pertains to your argument and you persist in contradicting me.

OK? This is a accepted definition, found throughout the apologetic realm, as well as literally google

Someone that holds to central atheism, different from agnostic atheists etc.

you hold to PSR?

So you rely on a search engine and “the apologetic realm” to better describe asterism than atheists?
