Any petitioning prayer for divine largesse has this problem – what might preserve your safety, peace or prosperity might undermine someone else’s (or be seen to, which is all that it takes). Someone is invariably praying for the opposite of what you are. Even ignoring all the arguments about free will / predestination, there’s no way their imagined god could answer your prayer without shafting other people.
