I wouldn’t say its even that, because that would imply you’re sensing that you are experiencing nothing.
More like how you were before you were born, you didn’t sense anything because you didn’t exist yet, when you die your consciousness ceases to exist, so it is a complete lack of awareness.
Now this is a tricky one, because I cannot know this, it’s a belief, and I’ve fallen into the obvious trap.
We can only go on what we experienced before life, or what we didn’t experience, so to say.
I’ve been in a lot of fights, in and out of the ring, I’ve been knocked unconscious more times than I can remember, my experiences of these, were almost like a time jump.
Hours could pass but in mind, it was instant, there is a gap in my memory of what occurred during the time I was unconcious.
Obviously the subconscious could still be aware during unconcious, take coma patients for example.
Honestly, this is a bit of a paradoxical mind melt for me.
Our brains aren’t functioning so we don’t sense anything, it’s just nothing?
I’m just going to have to say, I don’t know on this one.
