No, that is a lack of evidence. Given the claim is unfalsifiable we can rationally assert nothing about the claim. This withholding belief is the only open minded position, unless you believe all unfalsifiable claims, and that’s just absurd.

I do not believe there is anything after death. I believe it is like blacking out with no memory of what happened. But that forever as I believe even if there’s no evidence an afterlife doesn’t exist?

Yes! If you hold that belief to be true. Psych wards are full of people who have seen heaven and you are not going to convince them otherwise.
I happen to have many personal experiences that you do not share. I would bet most of mine, unlike most of yours, will hold up against independent verification. However, I am not about imagine all of them will. Some have even been challenged by people on this site. You are being challenged for good reasons.

Before my brain started to interpret my senses and store memories I experienced nothing, so I find the idea that these conscious functions of my physical brain can continue after I die absurd.

It is absurd as if an afterlife existed then there would also be a god or deity contoling it.
Since there’s a lack for evidence for a god or deity then I can not believe that consciousness survives death either.
I am fine with that, that the thing which makes me who I am just ceases to exist. Life may seem short, but is long enough for me at the same time. I don’t feel some need to exist after I die.
