I got a brief glimpse before the age restriction clicked in, and the clip was banned. The joy of living in Korea. Mostly, restrictions are very inconsistent. Every now and again I run across something completely silly. Lucky for me. I am familiar with the clip and don’t need to see it to know what you are speaking of. Have you ever watched a movie where everyone who smokes has their cigarettes blurred out, so you can’t see them? Smoke magically appears from their faces. This would be South Korea! The land of excessive morality. And, the place where the prostitution industry makes more money than the rice industry. (I kid you not.) Prostitution is everywhere, but it is the best kept secret in the country.

BINGO! And I, as well as yourself, just keep asking for one, JUST ONE, small bit of real evidence, contemporary to the life of this Jesus guy, that supports any of the claims made by the Bible referencing him.

Just one fact. One! The very best piece of actual evidence possible. PLEASE! Why not just share it with us and stop playing games?

The science of history relies on cross-referencing different sources and on the convergence of evidence, especially when you are dealing with things that (is claimed to have) happened millennia ago. Therefore, it can be somewhat risky using the “just one piece of evidence” line. Additionally, it resembles the unscientific tactics used by e.g. holocaust deniers (“give me just one piece of evidence that Hitler knew”), evolution deniers/creationists (“give me just one missing link”) and reality deniers/flatearthers (“give me just one piece of evidence that the earth is a globe”) before rejecting the evidence they’re given on the grounds of it being not sufficient or inadmissible, and then moving the goalposts. You might not want to be thought of being in the same crackpot-pot as said denier-cretins, hmm?

I honestly don’t think there is any evidence meeting the criteria. Do you know of anything at all, contemporary to the life of Jesus, non-biblical, that corroborates any of his lifetime achievements? One bit of evidence would move me from a position of, ‘He probably did not exist,’ to ’ He might have actually existed.’ I don’t really have a good reason to believe he may have existed other than there were a lot of folks named Jesus who might have been preachers.
