There is no god

God, in my opinion, is a mobster, a vampire, and an evil creature.
Killing and enslaving man for the sake of a god is a rule that proves that this god is a myth and a human industry.
The scriptures are the laws of the old guerrillas and desert men, nothing more.

Through subjective interpretation, we can perceive any concept how we personally want to view it.

Welcome to Atheist Republic goddeathed.

I doubt there is a god, only religions that use this invented magic man to control others. You rightfully see the negative side of religion, it does harm to people. But there is a positive side, it does offer comfort to many and a sense of community. Not that there is any justification for the harm religion does. And there are other ways to find comfort and community without religion.

English please. Please respect all members of this forum

Ingelesa gainbaloratua dago.

The Arabic is likely an oversight on your parts, @Scruffy and @goddeathed, as you had perhaps already known that English is used here; you’ve surely been reading past threads and responses in order to get a handle on the subjects and tenor of the material.

It happens.

I learned to speak/understand a few Arabic words and some basic sentences during my deployments. Never learned to read it, though. Welcome, Goddeathed. Good to have you with us.

Why not just believe in a different god. As for the scriptures, they are made to be cherry-picked.

You do understand that before you can claim your version of god does not exist, you have to define it. As soon as you define a god that does not exist, every Christian, Muslim (Theist) on the planet will tell you that the god you have described is “NOT THEIR GOD.” You are fighting a losing battle. It’s far better to let the theist tell you what god they believe in before you go off half-cocked disproving the wrong god.

Better stated might be, “All gods I have been shown have been…” At least then you are talking facts and not projecting into the unevidenced future. If someone asks you, what god is bullshit, you can give them an example; however, as I said before, that will never be the god they believe in.

English is the preferred language because it’s an international forum.

For anyone interested- there is a “translate” feature. Highlight to “quote” then pick “translate”

Sorry folks, just trying to make him feel welcome.

welcome. Yes, the Qur’an was written by man. Read it again now, just confirm this fact. This is a good group of moral people I’ve found

Sorry, didn’t see you already had it translated.

No apology necessary. Just took us by surprise.

That’s how I feel about it. I think it’s all fictional. Christians acknowledge that the other gods are fictional. I think Christianity is just another lame ass goat herder mythology made up by “more” idiots wanting to control the masses.
