This is from the lojban dictionary, ‘quicksearch’ (La sutysicku)
Lojban is a created language, and is designed to be culturally neutral, also created with predicate logic. Lojban is short for ‘logical language’.
However, one can express emotion with lojban, potentially even better than most natural languages. One can also express any claim. In the sense that a claim may not be supported by evidence. For example one can lie in lojban, by simply stating a claim which is not supported.
“mi na krici tu’a la cevni”. Means “I don’t believe in god/godess/gods/godesses”.
The default is gender neutral, tense, or number. This also means I don’t, didn’t, will not believe… But one generally takes a statement in the context at hand. And yes one can make tense, number and gender specific as needed or required for clarity.
One might be surprised how much cultural elements are impressed on language. Lojban was a test language, with the intent on cultural neutrality.
