Or you could cajole them into believing they see a dot by making its presence relative to their faith. A perfect analogy for their god. The really imaginative ones could even describe what they see in vivid detail, they might even hear the dot talking to them. And if you wanted to be really mean you could then take out your eraser and tell them you have now wiped out the dot although you have to cautious not to start a holy war.
