I shall now make my own religion

Do I have any evidence for all the things and deities I will spout below? Fuck no. It’s a faith, so… just believe. Unlike other religions, however, I will not force anyone to be indoctrinated.

So all religions need some kind of central power to believe in, like a god or something. So let’s worship ourselves a deity.

Introducing the Aspect of Evil (the Great AoE for short). AoE is the sum of every evil thing found in nature, and mostly humanity. A single act of evil is not the AoE. It is evil in its eternal essence and spirit. If you take everything that is horrible and put it all in one concentrated place, you get the AoE. Thankfully, the AoE is already all around us, so concentrating it is not a problem.

Wait? Satan?

No. According to claims made by Christians, Satan is a fallen angel who became the devil and is somehow pissed at humanity that he wants them to suffer. HOWEVER, some believe and write that Satan could be a revolutionary figure who refuses to kneel before a tyrant they call God. So no, Satan can’t be the AoE if he could stand for something good.

No. The AoE created itself. It is not created by God. AoE is both a single leader and a universal force of change for the worse. An Area of Effect of everything nobody likes and the Totality of what it means to be “ungood”.

The Aspect of Evil manifests itself in different aspects of evil that you can both see and not see. This evil is all around you, but you can’t see it in itself. A bunch of aspects in a concentrated area is the best place of worship because it allows you to be closer to the area of effect of AoE.

Are there instructions on how to worship them?

There are no official instructions yet; the AoE will appear to you either in visions or by giving you signs on how to worship it, so it’s going to be different for every individual until everyone receives the exact same signs and visions.

How many people are currently worshipping this AoE?

By the time you are reading this, it’s probably so few that it doesn’t really matter.

However, I’m going to write this on some pieces of paper or other materials so that once 91.5% of humanity gets erased because they can’t control who they are, it would be very funny to know that a radioactive scavenger is going to grow a cult out of this.

How certain am I that this “religion” will survive the end times? Faith.

You’re not wrong about how religions get started.

I think religion (and the implied activity of worship) is the core problem. I think it is more simple statements like “don’t be a dick”, “be kind to others”, “be humble”. I mean just those 3 things if you really try to live them, are far more transformative than Christianity. But many Christians would say that being kind and loving doesn’t “count” unless it’s done in the name of a God. That humans can only crudely imitate these qualities but apart from god’s “help”, laughably fail at them.

Let me tell you about my friend that died the other day at the tender age of 71. Richard was never religious. In fact as a young man he was known to sow some wild oats. He was divorced and “living in sin” with another woman. Yet a kinder, more gentle and virtuous man you have never met. One incident told me all I needed to know about the man. A couple of years ago his now-partner’s grand daughter, somewhere in her early 20s, had a falling out with her Dad and was getting into some trouble (she was what people call “a handful”). Richard never complained, whined, or hesitated. He drove all the way to Jersey, bad back and hips and all, picked her up, took her into his home and treated her as his own. He helped her find her first car, and when he saw the tires were nearly bald, he pulled strings with friends in the tire service company he was retired from and got a good set of used rubber on the car and got an alignment done.

When he died, this girl told us that Richard had been “like a father” to her. What more of a testament do you want to a man’s character? No religious justification or ideology needed.

If anyone ever said something catty or judgmental or dismissive, Richard never once for a hot second participated. He sat there with a slight smile on his face, waited for the fulmination to pass, and then told a funny story about something unrelated. What better character than that, really?

This is what defines goodness for me, just rubber-meets-the-road decency. No divine command necessary to give permission or motivation for it. You just do it.

He was also Pan, Venus, Dionysus, Baal, and a few others to name before the Christians re-branded him. Christians even claim that Lucifer and Loki are the same deity, when they are not.

Don’t forget about Baphomet.
