Excavations have started in one of the most controversial geological sites in the world and, while the research efforts themselves don’t have anything to do with religion, christian activists insist that the site is Noah’s Ark and they are going to be proven right.
Darwinism will be dismantled and they will be proven right, that’s what they claim at high voice, despite the fact that there was and never will be any evidence of the site being Noah’s Ark.
Don’t they have anything better to do other than embarassing themselves with these charades? Go volunteer at a soup kitchen, volunteer at an hospice, start a fundraising for your local library, i don’t know, something useful!
Do something meaningful with your time of the day, get yourself an activity!
Well, it’s a way to part gullible people from their money. Maybe not an ethical way or even an efficient way, but hey, they get funding to follow up on their delusions.
It is hilarious , they make fanciful claims forgetting this is the third time in 50 years the site has been investigated, drilled, lidared and pronounced " not a ship, a boat, an ark or, indeed a man-made structure.
Yet every decade or so some film flam man gets a collection of donors together and waltzes off with a considerable profit after finding…oh wait…nothing.

Probably not. I’ve encountered folks who are so committed to their religious beliefs that it consumes most of their waking hours. I’ve also encountered folks who are so frightened that their beliefs might be unfounded that they spend untold time and energy trying to prove it to themselves.
Ultimately, though, I don’t really give two shits how they spend their time in support of their gods as long as those pursuits aren’t illegal and don’t result in the impediment or destruction of my freedom from their religion.
It the great flood and Noah’s Ark are true, I’d like to know why NZ didn’t end up having any land based mammals, and why did Australia get a large amount of marsupials?
Did Noah and his family categorise the animals and try to put similar animal types in similar places after the flood? How do YEC’s explain this stuff?
To me, the young Earth creationists are not much different than people who believe in a flat Earth.
There is an organization called Answers in Genesis that constantly promotes creationism and the flood myth as facts, and they use examples like the Grand Canyon, and fossil shells found on mountain tops as “evidence” of a catastrophic, world-wide flood.
It is easy to dismiss such organizations as the refuge of religious-minded crackpots, but I see them as dangerous.
The consequences of science illiteracy are far-reaching when we consider issues like overpopulation, global warming, vaccine hesitancy, and the human driven mass extinction of species (among many other examples of short sightedness).
Any of these problems might destroy us as a species, and we are dealing with many of them at once . . . and organizations like Answers in Genesis feed into this science illiteracy, which adds just one more barrier to our continued survival.
