Doesn’t matter if dieties exists or not. There are whole books written about this specific diety and based on the way they are portrayed in writing and how a huge part of the public percieves them, do they show signs of extreme or possibly the ULTIMATE form of narcissism?
This is actually an excellent question when you compare Jehovah to Trump.
Both are malignant narcissists, sadists and serial liars. You could even say that both are rapists (Jehovah ordered state programs of rape more than once, and directly got a young virgin pregnant once). One of course is imaginary & one is real, but we’re just ignoring that for purposes of conversation, lol.
What fascinates me about this is that when you squint a certain way, Trump is a complete violation of all the things God supposedly is in favor of according to modern fundamentalists: marital fidelity, truthfulness / honesty, integrity. And yet if you drop all the holy horseshit and look at it objectively, he’s actually the human personification of the wrathful, vengeful, vile, repulsive OT deity. It suddenly occurs to me why fundamentalists tend to love Trump uncritically: he is the human embodiment of their God. They just don’t think of their God that way so they have some cognitive dissonance to deal with, and yet – they just love the guy. It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

My point is that both are fine with rape. The details of how they go about it is a separate matter. However, as I posted the video elsewhere here of an attorney doing a client visit at Dilley and being turned away as hundreds of children can be heard screaming behind the walls illustrates, we don’t know the half – nay, the tenth – of what this regime is doing in the shadows (and what they will ultimately do openly). At least one ICE agent has been convicted of raping one of their inmates. I have zero doubt that there are systematic rapes occurring in those environments. Trump himself was a major player (if not in fact the real impetus) behind Epstein’s rape machine and is defending Grok’s new ability to virtually undress any woman as “free speech”.
Yep. Blatantly so in a couple of them. A wee bit more subtle in others, but there, nonetheless.
If we’re talking gods, Zeus & Poseidon were pretty bad too. They raped mortal women.
The difference is of course that Greek mythology does not pretend or claim that the gods were infinitely wise, infinitely good, and infinitely powerful. In fact, they are portrayed as egotistical, jealous, greedy, could be defeated and killed, and could sometimes be quite dumb and could be fooled and tricked by mortals. In short, the gods were made by humans, mirroring human behaviour.

Yes – in essence they were Marvel superheroes. Humans with super powers. Not tri-omni One True Gods that we have been conditioned to think about. Just human fantasy about “if I ruled the world” or more exactly ‘if I had unlimited power to exert my will on the world” divorced from any stated higher purpose to “help” humanity.
