“The Boys” (Amazon) although the penultimate season is starting to feel a bit tired. The spin off “Gen V” (also Amazon) first season was PDG. Both are extremely violent (I was absolutely hooked from the first episode… “Robin?”) but it’s comic book violence so…
I’m also a huge fan of “The Expanse”.
“Eric” and “Black Doves” (Netflix) are excellent, “1923” (Paramount) is quite good even though I’m no fan of “Yellowstone” and “Slow Horses” (Apple… spit!) looks excellent although I’ve only watched one episode so far.
If you can get to watch “Killing Eve” (BBC), the first couple of season are brilliant and Jodie Comer is awesome as the psychopath (or is it sociopath?) Villanelle.
I recently watched True Detective season 4 (Night Country). It was pretty good. In this show; each season is independent from the others. Season 4 stars Jodie Foster.
Currently watching Exploding Kittens on Netflix with my son. I find it somewhat funny, my son is quite excited about it. If you have ever played the Exploding Kittens card game and find it entertaining, you can relate to the humour.
All Creatures Great and Small. This is a remake of the series with the same name from the 70s and 80s. There have been five series so far. It’s on PBS in the U.S.
The Offer is another interesting limited series. It’s a drama about the making of Coppola’s film The Godfather, told from the perspective of the producer, Al Ruddy.
Well you’ve had lots of interesting suggestions. Two that I didn’t see mentioned and that I enjoyed was Shameless about an edgy family just barely getting by in an american city. I would call it a fusion between comedy and a train wreck. On the much lighter side try the IT Crowd a British comedy. Both on Netflix. Hope you’re feeling better.
For those interested in good food, either cooking, eating, or both, Masterchef Australia is a must-see. None of the other national Masterchef versions are even close. Here, we can see it on TLC, dunno about the rest of the world.
