Anyone remember hearing about this guy?
Think maybe he did too much LSD
It seems a fairly common delusion. There’s a movie called “Three Christ” based on a true story about a doctor who introduces three people who think they’re Jesus in hopes of curing them. Spoiler alert: He wasn’t successful. One of the “Christ” is played by Peter Dinklage and the doctor is played by Richard Gere. This John Miller at least seems able to function in the world and hopefully isn’t causing any harm to anyone. I’m not sure if there is any effective treatment for this kind of thing, and he seems unlikely to submit to treatment voluntarily anyway. I’ve read somewhere that people visiting the holy land can start thinking they’re jesus or one of his disciples, but it’s usually a temporary thing and they eventually snap out of it. There appears to have been a lot of people claiming to be the messiah from way back. Some taken more serious than others.
I’ve been told that patients are sometimes screened with the following questions:
It couldn’t possibly take an hour video to convince me this guy is full of it. I got a few minutes into it and he had already made the claim to have been born 2,000 years ago and talks openly about how the Roman guards at Golgotha speared him in the side up into his heart without offering to show the scars. Thomas got a better deal.
And besides he is too white and tall to be Jesus. Ya not swarthy enough to have been born in Bankstown, much less the Middle East, you tosser. I blame over exposure to the Australian sun (its pretty strong) and the incredibly dumb shits who encourage this charlatan because they want to. Maybe they like the sex too.
Hey, Alan? Mate, you are not Jesus, get over it you wanker.
OMFG
What always confuses me, is not the folks who fall prey to their own delusions or don’t seek medical help for their mental health illnesses (or lay off drugs) BUT the apparently self-classified regular folk who believe them.
Hmmmmm …this guy just needs to have his followers tell the next generation some stories - they can write and claim “personal knowledge god-inspiration” (plus the added bonus of a secular record of this guy’s existence) AND voila!!! The Christian part III (they’ve already tossed Mohammed) explanation why Christians are still blabbering about 250 years from now… ie no end to the “last days”…
Wow!
Mental health professionals to the front please, stat. I got as far as his sycophantic and deeply troubled “partner” claiming she was the reincarnation of Mary Magdalene, and had to turn it off.
The really worrying thing is this didn’t seem that much more delusional or far fetched than the conversations I often have on here with some theists, or the core beliefs of christianity come to that.
I should give a nod here to reprogrammingjordan and he claimed to be an atheist, and from day one his posts suggested to me we’d “struck the crackpot” so to speak.
He returned recently to tell us he’d changed his name to God, in order to destroy theism. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been keeping one weary eye on the news, honest.
I know I should feel sorry for people suffering from mental health issues, but sometimes their delusions are so grandiloquent all I can do is swallow hard, pause, and try not to say anything too scathing.
Mustttt notttt commenttttt…
I don’t. Compassion yes. Boundaries, yes. Indulging their beliefs nope. Not me.
I support fully that those afflicted with mentally illness can and should function in society. Recognizing it’s a brain organ health issue and can be treated through various approaches (finding what works for the person). However indulging beliefs (delusions, paranoia, obsessions) is not helpful and finding another who is just as mentally ill and indulging in the shared fantasy does not help.
Like any physical issue a person can cope, work towards healing (or accept that one approach/treatment results in “better” than another or none), enjoy good days, have bad days… or neglect their condition have have it grow worse (health woo-woo nuts have crossed my path on more than one occasion with their cures/causes )
IMO a good portion (I’d lean towards a majority) of the population has a mental illness of one sort or another - most harmless and incorporated into “personality”.
That’s Jesus! I recognize him frrom his videos. He is the reason I had my sex change operation. Every girlfrriend he had got to be Mary. Since we all know Mary was a virgin, I figure I could have God status and never have to give out… just like a Jewish Wife. (Have I completely ruined my reputation at this point?) I know… I know… “What reputation?”

I feel I’m the Antichrist, should I make a video of saddling the four horses? Make training films for the shock troops heading to Israel with me? Persecute all people claiming to be Jesus, as he is expected back to face me in the end battles? Best to take care of them all just in case?
One or two Christians have called me the devil before.
Sure thing buddy! But you wouldn’t be the first.
Like Ramzan Kadyrov? Sure buddy! Snap and post it all over your Instagram page!
Everyone is doing that. Even the BIG BIG Christians are all over that. You don’t have to lift a finger.
You betcha! Get out there and work a miracle! halle - fuck’n - lujah!!
