A FAFO list - add your own

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The closer we get to November the worse this is going to get.

For reference, to anyone close to retirement, Portugal’s D7 visa is the easiest path to becoming a refuge in the EU and the Schengen Zone. Most affordable as well.

Wait, this rings a bell…Oceania, Eurasia, and Eastasia…authoritarian control, invasive survaillence, crushing independent or free thought and speech… Oh, yeah…Orwell…

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Deindividuated is.

Do you have any reliable resources for this? All I could find was something on Reddit and on YouTube.

I think it’s the intersection of these two:

Macron Says France, Not the US, Is Now Main Intel Provider for Ukraine - Business Insider.

It was Ukraine, not France, that ran the sting, but it is France they are now getting the bulk of their intelligence from.

I doubt anyone really trusts us anymore as we’re run by a Russian asset.

Also known as the “Socialize the risk, privatize the profit” model.

A new, popular fashion accessory in Greenland at the moment.

POTUS and his cabinet seem oblivious to the fact that there is no reversing globalization, that American strength lies in interdependence, and that this interdependence still mainly benefits the U.S.

Gross trade asymmetries and belligerent military attacks on allies will only weaken and not strengthen the U.S.’s international position as countries begin to shut us out.

176 days. That’s how many days we have left until the last filing deadline for primary submission of a candidate for congress in a Republican state. Once Republicans are free from a primary challenge I have a sneaking suspicion they will begin to display the rabid self interest they are famous for and begin to significantly turn on Orangban.

Part of me also holds out for a change after the mid terms. A Democratic held House would provide them a measure of cover for dissent. Might even trickle over to the Senate to a degree.

In the meantime, keep eating that saturated fat, Donald, while the rest of us wait for the Ozymandias Scenario.

“Donald’s DOJ was required by law to release the entirety of the Epstein files to Congress. In the 30 days since then, he:

added his name to the Kennedy Center.
ordered a deadly strike on Nigeria as “a Christmas present.”
sent U.S. troops into Venezuela to kidnap President Nicolas Maduro, killing almost 100 people in the process.
suspended funding for childcare assistance programs in five blue states.
changed the White House website on January 6 to praise his pardoning of the insurrectionists.
withdrew the U.S. from 66 international organizations.
flipped off an autoworker who called him a “pedophile protector” and said “fuck you” to him—twice.
claimed falsely that Renee Good, who was murdered by an ICE agent, “behaved horribly” and “was very disrespectful.”
threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act in response to unrest his own agencies have incited in Minnesota.
has repeatedly threatened to invade Greenland if it refuses to allow him to buy it.

You know what hasn’t happened? The DOJ hasn’t released over 99% of the Epstein files. Wonder why.”

In an unhinged letter to Norway’s leader, the Cheeto makes it clear that the reason he’s pushing to steal Greenland is Norway’s failure (sic) to award him the Nobel Peace Prize. The Peace Prize, of course, is awarded not by Norway itself, but by the Nobel Committee.

Every time this guy opens his mouth he embarrasses our country.

When my mother was deteriorating through dementia I became aware of the different levels or stages of the disease. You couldn’t miss it if you had a history with the person.

I’m no physician, and I don’t play one on Kimmel, but as I remember my mother’s decline, Trump must be knocking on the door of General Stage 4 Dementia.

The decline from initial signs picked up by her physician to requiring 24\7 care was about two and a half years with death completing the process after just over 4 years. YMMV

There will come a point that, unless all of his appearances are AI generated, it won’t be hideable or dismissable anymore. It’s not pretty and once it reaches the advanced stages aphasia creeps in.

In the meantime all we can do is sit back and wait for the inevitable train crash.

Trump knows this (on some level at any rate) but it means nothing to him because in his mind, everything is about pressuring people and “making deals”. He sees it as an excuse since he believes Norway’s government can and should “lean on” the Nobel Committee to do their bidding. Which is exactly the kind of thing Trump is doing in the US – assaulting the independence of federal agencies, firing people without cause, issuing edicts to entities he doesn’t control but sues or threatens to sue or withhold licensing, such as the TV networks, etc.

Trump’s “Board of Peace”.

Who wants to bet Trump pockets some, or all, of that money?

The way Trump has been acting, “Bored of Peace” is a more apt name for this ridiculous sham.

In the first year of this presidential term, trump’s doubled his family’s net worth, billionaires got $1.5 trillion richer, and his 20 wealthiest political donors got ~$380 billion richer.
What have the rest of the citizens he represents gotten? The list is long but only includes things like getting shot in the face.

How long until lawsuits and federal agents are sent to harass This Senator (or worse)?

How long until Orange and his cabinet begin parading dissidents through the streets after arrest without cause?

How long until he starts making noises about the use of nuclear weapons, or using the threat as another political extortion tool?

All very good questions, and increasingly, the answers to all of them are, “not long”.
