Why use reason to defend?

Failing to address his spectacularly stupid original assertion, @Daver offers another equally stupid, but totally irrelevant assertion. I don’t know if he is genuinely having fun, but the hilarity in there is palpable.

Now what is @Daver suggesting we replace reason with?
