Indeed, we have a wealth of palaeontological evidence pointing to humans having arisen from prior lineages of hominid apes (of which, courtesy of said ancestry, we are one also).
But there’s also the data from molecular phylogeny. Such as the data regarding the chromosome 2 fusion (double centromere sequences and internal telomere sequences), and the numerous shared endogenous retroviral sequences (ERVs) that make NO sense whatsoever from the standpoint of creationist assertions, but are eminently sensible (and indeed, a natural corollary) from the standpoint of shared ancestry.
ERVs are basically the killer data destroying creationist assertions about human ancestry.
