Well, OF COURSE atheists are arrogant in the eyes of Christians (and most other monotheistic religions). After all, atheists defy their god of choice. Only an arrogant FOOL would dare stand against their all-powerful god. How DARE those godless heathens believe they can be good and moral people without their god telling them what to do. The AUDACITY of those evil Satanic bastards!
Here’s the hilarious irony I most often see, though. The same people who rely on their all-powerful/all-knowing god to help keep them on the “path of moral superiority” are actually AFRAID OF atheists in most cases. Apparently, their all-powerful god is not able to fully protect them from the overwhelming evil we atheists exude.
