Interesting story, a while back my step daughter asked my 6 year old grandson, if he had told me he was an atheist like me? It transpired he had prayed to god to cure him of his nut allergy. As a 6 year old with an older brother and several cousins who could all eat whatever they pleased, it was very hard on him at first, and understandably he had been taught at school about Jesus and prayer, so he did what any child would do, and prayed earnestly and hard for god to help him, but nothing happened, and he drew the conclusion that no deity existed, I can see his point.
