I just don’t think God is interested in revealing Himself unless absolutely necessary. And, as that seems to be the case, when he in fact does reveal himself it isn’t in a way that anyone else would notice besides the person revealed to. Hence schizophrenics are so often labeled as insane because no one is willing to lend them credence when they announce that they’ve been acquainted with a higher being.
