Why not. The Kalam is a simple ‘God of the Gaps’ proposition. You remember ‘God of the Gaps’ don’t you? (Everything has a cause, so there must be an ultimate cause. We don’t know what that cause is, so it must be God.) It’s like shooting Christians when they are hanging from crosses.
