The Death and Resurrection of Jesus/gospel narratives is highly historically attested according to mainstream scholars

I disagree with your genetic moral imperative argument. Genetic proclivity–yes; specific genetic morals–no.

However, I definitely agree that AR has devolved into an unfortunate and possibly unavoidable shill of the “don’t go there” movement championed by those who feel their superior sense of justice and/or morality gives them guardianship of linguistic interaction. Ironically, as a private space, AR absolutely DOES have the right to do so. As it rightly should.

However, after being a part of the old AR community, before whatever change happened during my absence, I can’t possibly engage here with the new tethers on expression in what used to be a venue for free-form engagement with others who have like-minded positions about what is “allowed” in pure and alternative mental intercourse. (I’m thinking “intercourse” might even be a taboo word, here.)

Etymology is a fickle and ever-changing beast of fashion and society. A word you use freely today may be deemed culturally unacceptable tomorrow or the day after. And that’s fine–that’s the way it works. especially when engaging with the unwashed masses of uninspired banality you can find on any other forum out there. This was supposed to be a special place, where people understood that no words need be taken personally and all forms of expression were up for analysis and debate by anyone who wanted to chime in.

If your feelings are hurt by a single word then perhaps philosophical, ethical, sociological, etc. discussions of real substance which explore the deeps of human thought and congruence may not be for you.
