Decided this might be a worthwhile topic.

I’ll start with this article, as it seems informative.

“Just watch Werner Herzog’s documentary Wheel of Time and you’ll be disabused of any notion you might have that Buddhism is not up to its neck in superstition.”

I haven’t watched the video yet, and will be busy today, but for now anyone interesting in the topic can read that article, and when I’ve had a chance to watch the video I’ll offer something on its content.

Depending on your sect and country; Buddhism adopted all local gods and deities in the countries where it flourished. People brought their cultural influences to the religion and altered it in each country, just like they did to the Christian faith.
