Hell as an argument

Appeal to authority fallacy, you even used the word authority more than once, and of course this does not address what I said. You said:

There’s my response, then you said:

And there’s my response, you have responded with an appeal to authority fallacy that doesn’t address my response to your claims?

You have not tried to evidence any authority, so why would I?

Nope, I have no need to do anything in response to a bare claim like the ones you have made here, except say “I don’t believe you”.

That’s a bare claim, just like mermaid sightings.

Claim 1 evidence 0

That’s a falsehood, please don’t tell me what I think, use the quote function.

Just as I will have to stop disbelieving claims for mermaid sightings if someone evidences a mermaid. Do you really imagine a mangled version of pascal’s wager will help your claims here, when the clever original has been so thoroughly rinsed on here time and time again?

Never assume, and decent is subjective, and I will ne dead, not sure how that correlates to fine, but if the billions of years I was dead for before I was born are any indicator I will be nothing, rotting flesh, then bones, then dust.

Here is your claim in full, for proper context, it is simply an assumption at the end emboldened, nothing more was offered.

D you hear me claiming you did? Straw man…

I never claimed you did straw man 2.

I can’t speak for “most atheists” but I don’t believe Hell exists, so detestation would be rather moot.

Another bare assumption that Hell exists. Which bit of I don’t believe unevidenced claims is not getting through to you, and why?

I never claimed otherwise, straw man 3. FYI I don’t acknowledge anything exists unless it can be objectively evidenced as part of objective reality or alive, which is the definition of existence.

Unevidenced assumption, what judgment can you evidence exists, and this is Pascal’s wager again.

Hell has absolutely nothing to do with atheism, which is the lack or absence of belief in any deity or deities, imaginary posthumous torture chambers are irrelevant to that.

We? Go back read your initial claim, I am already getting dizzy from scrolling up and down to find context as you whiz the goal posts about.

Oh really, I strongly disagree, and I broke my clavicle at age 5, and had 3 different surgeries with general anaesthetic one at age 6,one at age 10, and another at age 15. Just how are you defining test us here?

I see a lot of claims, I see no evidence for those claims? We can tested by random events, our genes need not feature, and we start learning around 8 months, that’s when we start to store memories and form beliefs about the world.

No it isn’t, please don’t tell me what I think, if you think life has some overarching meaning then evidence that claim.

I can account for it, and I have no idea what you mean by authority greater than my own, the police, the government, my boss? If you’re going to make shit up, at least be specific.

I have no idea what you’re trying to say, but please don’t make claims about I think or believe, ask me by all means, or quote me, but stop making statements that are what you think, and passing them off as what I think.

A repetition of the claim, and still no evidence.

Disbelieving claims is not itself a belief system, or even a belief. If you can evidence your claim that Hell exists then do it. I can’t imagine why you’d keep such evidence to yourself.

Claim 1 evidence nil.

It’s true I am not sure I see the humour there, but what one imagines is not evidence that what one has imagined is real or exists outside of the human imagination.

You seem to have skipped over your unevidenced claims about souls, and my response requesting evidence, with a string of unrelated questions?

You seem to have ignored the question, in favour of another claim?

Straw man, since I have made no such claim.

It wouldn’t be relevant to my withholding belief from claims a deity exists, as they are in every instance thus far unsupported by any remotely objective evidence. This of course includes all of your claims for a deity, which are entirely subjective.

I’m not here to argue whether hell exists or not just that it doesn’t.

I don’t know any hell :face_savoring_food:

I also have one.

There is a Hell in Norway. With a train station – Hell stasjon. And it has a building with a sign that reads “Hell gods-expedition” (archaic spelling, modern spelling is godsekspedisjon). Which basically means that it is/was the building for goods/freight/cargo handling. For some reason or another, this unassuming building (with the IMHO rather ugly colour) and the sign are very popular among tourists. Go figure.

I loved the annual headlines every winter that “Hell has frozen over”.

I lived only 150 miles from Hell for much of my life. My daughter currently lives about 20 miles away.
