Growing up as a Catholic, Intersex Transgender Female

Hang in there and keep moving forward. Those who look to the past are often living their lives backwards. Life is like climbing a ladder. You put your foot on the first rung and you grab another rung with your hands. Then you pull yourself up.

When you are stable, comfortable on that rung, you reach up with your free hand and you grab another rung. You pull yourself up. The process repeats over and over.

Life is about spotting that next rung. You are here now. You are on this rung at this time and in this space. Where are you going from here? When you figure it out, and you feel stable enough where you are, reach out with your free hand and grab that next rung. That rung will never be in your past. It is always in front of you, just up ahead.

Like any good advice… don’t look down. Getting stuck in the past can be detrimental. You can not look down and move forward at the same time. How you look down is everything. Seeing the past as an amazing journey that has led you to this place can be a very positive. It can be positive even if you feel depressed at this moment. You have been depressed before and you know that these feelings come and go. You know what it is like to be stuck. You have been stuck before. You have already been there. Wont it be interesting to see what the future holds? Reach up and grab that rung.
