I am terrible at names…real names. I cant remember my actor friends names but frequently can recall their characters names in a play or film, and address them as such for ever. Same as someone I have known, a director, who still addresses me as “Pip” after a character I played when we first met in the first half of the 20th Century CE. . It is common in the industry.
