Indeed. The earliest recorded system of writing ideas is from China, dated at around 6600 BC (History of writing - Wikipedia). These have not been deciphered, though, and it is unclear as to what they mean. Excepting clay tablets used for accounting, the earliest recorded literature is from Sumeria around 2600 BC (Ancient literature - Wikipedia). And as you correctly state, this predates not only Christianity, but also Judaism. By comparison, christian texts are modern inventions. Indeed, the abrahamitic monotheistic religions are collectively modern by comparison with the religions of Sumeria and other bronze age cultures. And of course again dwarfed timelinewise by stone age religions (of which we - unfortunately - do not have any written accounts from).
