“1.We know deja vu happens (whatever it is).”
And we find no references to it in holy books.
It has been subject to research and in some cases is closely identified to my favourite neural malady, temporal lobe epilepsy, which induces spiritual and religious reactions to mundane objects and sensations.
“2. We know that there are people that claim to be clairvoyant.”
And studies have repeatedly shown that the predictive power of clairvoyants is only as good as the intuitive guesses of normal folk. We also know clairvoyants do not make money predicting stock market movements or in casinos.
“3. We know that it is written that God knows everything and is everywhere, which only makes sense if you are dreaming everything into existence.”
That a god knows everything is written in all holy books, but conflating the act of creation with dreaming is not convincing. Most people can’t remember very much about their dreams once they wake up, other than the vague sense they had been dreaming. And the Bible makes no mention of ‘God’ dreaming; you might be thinking about the Australian aboriginal natives, the Koori, who have a mythological Dreamtime in which all things are created and given meaning. But your ‘God’ is described as willfully, conciously, commanding creation into a physical existence. I suggest you are merely dreaming yourself.
“4.We know that people have claimed to see ghosts/spirits”
Yes, they make the claim and never once has it ever been validated. I declare I have never seen any apparitions and in younger days I often waited patiently in dark abandoned ‘haunted’ old houses, some the scene of dreadful outrages, throughout the night in patient fruitless hope. It is not reality that assumes supernatural qualities in the dark, it is the human imagination.
“5. We know that there are cctv live footage of souls coming out of dead bodies.”
You are claiming that scientifically designed and manufactured photosensitive equipment designated to record physical effects of light can detect the supernatural non-physical events like souls leaving bodies. You need to present evidence that souls are real first.
“6. We know that people have claimed to have had outer body experiences.”
Well these people and I have met many who made the claim they could visit overseas locations via astral projection on demand, simply could not prove their claims. It looked like they were sleeping to me. One friend opened an astral projection travel agency and quite literally, it never got off the ground.
“7.the Bible says that there is nothing new under the sun, everything that is happening has already happened.”
Funnily enough “that everything that is happening has already happened” is just what Tralfamadorians believe too.
But if what you say is true, are you supporting the concept of predestination; that ‘God’ and not mankind, is responsible for ‘evil’; denying mankind’s ‘free will’ to commit sin, there by making Jesus’s sacrifice superficial, even redundant?
“8.God says in the Bible that he knows from the beginning of this world’s time how this world will end”
And?
I could intelligently predict ways this planet is going to be destroyed and given enough time I could probably estimate just when that destruction might happen, but my prediction, if not upset by unforeseen events like a rogue planet striking us, an asteroid disaster, a colliding galaxy or a crushing black hole, expressed in billions of years, would be as meaningless as your statement #8.
“9. It is scientifically proven that a recently deceased person is slightly lighter after they had just died. Hence the spirit had supposedly left the corpse”
Scientifically proven?? Poor old Duncan McDougall. He authored the 21 gram hypothesis, and in the 120 years since he published his poorly framed experiment, it has been roundly and persistently debunked.
Do you insist that the incorporeal, spiritual, supernatural component of a person’s being, their ‘God’ given breath of life, weighs in at 21 grams, regardless of BMI, a material measure?
Pull the other one. You still need to establish the existence of souls as demonstrated in No. 5 above.
