Book of Joshua (Jewish/Christian Bible)

I honestly see the book of Joshua and the book the Lord of The Rings as very similar. Both are very good fantasy books you can read for an escape from reality.

Is there such a thing as an escape from reality? If you are reading a fantasy book you are reading a fantasy book. How is that not real? If you are ignorant and opinionated and sharing those ideas with others, then you are ignorant and opinionated and sharing those ideas with others. I fail to see how one escapes that which is real. Quite obviously if you sit about and imagine you are escaping from reality, then you are sitting about imagining that you are escaping reality. Can you demonstrate anything that escapes from reality?

Well morality is abstract and subjective. It may have its precursors in evolution, but our ability to analyse complex ideas is more likely a derivation of our evolved brains, which are good at problem solving and thus gave a survival benefit. It’s just conjecture to suggest morality can be traced to specific genes. more likely that all animals that evolved to live in societal groups would need to understand what the group accepted as right and wrong behaviour, or at least have evolved the ability to learn it quickly enough to survive within the protection of that group.
