Better alternatives to the ten commandments?

Good one. Snopes offered this explanation.

"The meme was derived from a list of principles — supported by various utterances and writings by John Wesley — that was compiled by a historical consultant at the New Room in Bristol, England, a Methodist chapel built by Wesley himself. "

So that list was not directly written by Wesley.

Really, now there’s a shock. Apart from article 11, that list could have been gleaned from Marx.

I’d go so far as to suggest that list is almost certainly not approved by the majority of any Christian sect.

About 12 years ago, Darkmatter2525 did a very funny video called “The New Commandments”. It was so funny it had me rolling. Anyone who doesn’t subscribe to his channel, I highly recommend it.

I still prefer George’s take on the commandments.
