We’re as happy as 2 different personalities can be after all this time. We both know what makes each other happy, and what doesn’t.
We both have the same political leanings, though that subject is rarely brought up. The subject of religion is hardly ever brought up anymore, all it does is make both of us angry.
I hate all of the time she spends participating in her church’s activities, she’s there half the day every Sunday and until almost 9:00 every Wednesday night, but it is what it is. It’s been this way for over 25 years.
I just have to deal with being alone at home more, and try to appreciate the times we are together with our family. We’re looking forward to spending tomorrow at our daughter’s house with the kids and grandkids, we haven’t all been together for months.
Just hanging out with everybody and having dinner together is enough for now.
